“شعبان بھی نہ بہت ہی بھلکڑ ہے۔ دو دن ہوگۓ اور میرا ڈریس ہی لاکر اس نے مجھے نہیں دیا۔ جب اسے پتہ بھی ہے کہ عید کے نزدیک کئ منحوس درزی کام کے بوجھ کی وجہ سے دوکان کو تالا لگا کر فرار ہوجاتے ہیں ۔ تو اسے چاہیے تھا کہ سب سے پہلے مجھے میرے کپڑے لاکر دیتا پھر کچھ اور کرتا ۔ پر نہیں عید کی بات کی تو کوئ ویلیو ہی نہیں ہے ۔!!!”
ٹاول وہیں رکھ کر پاس سے اپنا دوپٹہ اٹھا کر وہ اب اپنے نکمے بھائ کے کمرے کی طرف جانے لگی ۔ راستے میں اسے یاد آیا کہ بھائ صاحب تو اس وقت نماز پڑھنے گۓ ہوں گے۔ تو اس نے سوچا کہ بھابھی سے ہی پوچھ لے شاید اس کے چھوٹے بھائی شعبان نے اس کا ڈریس بھابھی کے حوالے کردیا ہو۔

“بھابھی یار۔۔!!! کیا آپ آج بھی ماسی بنی ہوئ ہیں۔ عید ہے آج تو تھوڑا سا تیار ہوجائیں۔ مانا کہ بھائ بہت کھڑوس ہیں انہیں آپ کی تیاری سے زیادہ اپنی پیٹ پوجا کے لیے پکائ روٹی کی فکر ہے پر آپ کا بھی تو حق ہے نہ تیار ہونا۔ کب تک آپ تندور والیوں کی طرح روٹی پر روٹی پکاتی رہیں گی۔۔!!”
منہ بسور کر وہ آکر اس کے پاس کھڑی ہوگئ۔ اس کی بات سن کر نور ہلکا سا مسکرائ۔ شادی شدہ عورت کی زندگی تو ایسی ہی ہوتی ہے ۔کچن سے شروع ہوکر کچن پر ہی ختم ہوجاتی ہے۔ وہ بیمار ہویا مرنے والی ہو اسے چھٹی دینے کا رواج ہمارے معاشرے میں نہیں ۔
عید ، شب برات ، اور دیگر موقعوں پر جب باقی سب لوگ تہواروں کو انجواے کرتے ہیں خاتونِ خانہ کچن میں کھڑی ہوکر اپنی ڈیوٹی نبھاتی رہتی ہے۔ کسی کو اس کا خیال نہیں ہوتا۔
“عید صاحبہ۔۔!! میری چھوڑیں آپ خود تو تیار ہوجائیں۔ میں تو سسرال میں ہوں پر آپ تو میکے میں ہیں پھر بھی مسکین بن کر کیوں گھوم رہی ہیں۔ کیا ہوا ہے آپ کو۔شکل پر بارہ کیوں بجے ہیں۔ عید صاحبہ کی نیند میں نے خراب کردی کہیں اس بات کا تو رونا نہیں تمہیں!!!”
روٹی اتار کر ہاٹ پاٹ میں رکھتے نور نے اپنی بات کی بجاۓ اس سے اس کی پریشانی کی وجہ پوچھی۔ جسے سچ میں اپنی بھابھی کی لاپرواہی کھٹکتی تھی۔ بس شور ڈالنا انہیں آتا تھا۔ اس کے علاؤہ وہ کچھ نہیں کرتی تھیں۔ابھی بھی پہلی ہی روٹی بنائ تھی انہوں نے اور دوسری کا پیڑا گول کرنے لگی تھیں وہ۔
عید نے شکل پر مزید مسکینیت طاری کی۔جیسے اس سے مسکین انسان پوری دنیا میں نہیں ہوگا۔
