“تمہیں پتا ہے عبید اس دنیا میں دو قسم کے لوگ ہوتے ہیں۔۔ایک وہ جو گھر بیٹھے شیخی بھگارتے رہتے ہیں اور دوسرے وہ۔۔جو اپنا کہا کر گزرتے ہیں۔۔میرا شمار جانتے ہو کن میں ہوتا ہے۔”
تھوڑا توقف کر کے وہ رکا تو طارق مِرزا کے پاس کھڑا ہوتا عبید چہرہ موڑ کر اسے دیکھا،فہد کی آنکھوں میں اپنے لیے تمسخر واضح دِکھا تھا اسے،
“شیخی بھگارنے والوں میں نہیں۔۔کر گزرنے والوں میں۔”بول کر فہد رکا نہیں تھا بلکہ اُس پر طنزیہ مسکراہٹ اچھال کر نفی میں سر ہلاتا اسٹڈی روم سے نکل گیا،
“تم دونوں کے درمیان کچھ زیادہ ہی بحث نہیں ہورہی آج کل؟”طارق مِرزا نے عبید کو ناگواری سے بند دروازے کو گھورتے دیکھ استفسار کیا تھا،کچھ دنوں سے وہ ان دونوں کے درمیان تعلقات کو سرد ہوتے نوٹ کررہے تھے،ابھی کیا گیا سوال بھی ان سبھی چپقلش پر ہی تھا،
“آپ نے اسے زیادہ ہی سر پر چڑھالیا ہے تبھی ذلیل انسان اپنی اوقات بھول چکا ہے۔”بند دروازے کو ہنوز گھورتا عبید بولا جس پر طارق مِرزا کے تاثرات ناپسندیدگی میں ڈھلے،
“تم نے شراب وغیرہ تو نہیں چڑھالی ہے یا پھر دماغ خراب ہوچکا ہے۔۔کیا بھول گئے ہو ہمارا مقصد ان لوگوں کو الگ کرنا تھا لیکن یہاں تم لوگ آپس میں جھگڑ کر الگ ہورہے ہو۔”
وہ ناگواری سے اسے ڈپٹے تھے جس پر عبید نے تپ کر انہیں دیکھا،
“آپ کو لطیف کو مارنے کی تجویز میں نے پیش کی تھی تو یہ کام آپ نے اسے کیوں دیا۔۔میں بھی تو کرسکتا تھا۔”
