“ندیدوں کو چاہیے اپنی نظریں ہٹا لیں۔ بندے کو نظر بھی لگ سکتی ہے،” عشھب کی نظریں محسوس کرتے ہوئے ابرام صاحب نے دل جلانے والی مسکراہٹ سجاتے کافی کا گھونٹ حلق میں اتارتے ہوئے کہا تومقابل بل کھا کر رہ گیا۔ سب جانتے تھے کہ عشھب کافی کا دیوانہ ہے اور اس کے معاملے میں کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں کرتا، اور اگر کافی اس نے خود بنائی ہو تو بالکل بھی نہیں۔
“پرائی چیزیں چھیننے والوں سے اللّه پاک قیامت والے دن الگ حساب لے گا،” عشھب نے ڈرانے کی ناکام کوشش کی مگر سامنے بھی اس کا باپ تھا۔
“ہمم، مگر،” کچھ پل رک کر ابرام صاحب نے کہا، “اگر وہ چیز آپ کے پیسوں سے لی گئی ہو تو؟” آئبرو اچکاتے ہوئے استفسار کیا۔ جیسے بتانا چاہ رہے ہوں کہ “بیٹا جی، یہ جو کافی آپ نے بنائی ہے یہ انہی کے پیسوں سے لی گئی ہے۔”
جس پر وہ تپ اٹھا مگر پھر یاد دہانی کروائی، “ہاں تو جب آپ میرے کیفے آتے ہیں تو میں آپ کو مفت میں کافی پلاتا ہوں۔”
“بالکل، اور وہ کیفے بھی میرے پیسوں سے بنایا گیا ہے،” آہ ! ابرام احمد کا احسان جتانے والا انداز۔
“ہاں تو یہ پراپرٹی بھی تو دادا سے ملی ہے،” عشھب نے صرف سوچا، کہنے کی ہمت نہیں تھی۔ ویسے بھی بھلا عشھب، ابرام احمد سے جیت سکتا ہے؟ یقینا نہیں۔ اسی لئے وہ محض پیر پٹھکتے سیڑھیوں (جو کچن اور لاونج کے درمیان میں تھیں) پر چڑھنے لگا مگر اپنے پیچھے سے آنے والی آواز پر اس کے قدم رک گئے۔
“آئے ہائے، کیا کافی ہے یار، مزہ آ گیا۔ بس آج کا سارا دن بغیر تھکن کے گزر جائے گا، واہ بھائی واہ!”
