”اگر فیصل منظرِ  عام پر آگیا تو کیا ہوگا ؟ “ اس کے پوچھنے پر ارمان دوبارہ سے سوچ میں پڑ گیا۔ نعمان کو اس بلا وجہ کی خاموشی سے کوفت ہو رہی تھی۔

” اس پر دفعہ 302 لگے گی ۔“ نعمان کا سر گھوم اٹھا۔ ”بھائی!  یہ دفعہ 302 گیا ہے ؟“  ارمان نے اسے سخت نظروں سے گھورا۔

” بتا رہا ہوں۔ پہلے سن تو لو ۔“ اس نے ایک لمحے کا توقف لیا ۔یہ بولنا بھی اس کے لیے بہت مشکل تھا۔پھر  اس نے لمبا سانس بھرا ۔

”دفعہ 302 کے تحت اگر ایک انسان نے کسی کو قتل کیا ہے تو اسے  سزائے موت یا عمر قید ہوگی ۔“ نعمان اور اسرا نے اس کی جانب حیرت سے دیکھا ۔

”اس میں آگے بہت سی کنڈیشنز بھی آ جاتی ہیں کہ قتل غلطی سے ہوا ہے یا جان بوجھ کر کیا گیا ہے۔ اب فیصل نے جان بوجھ کر کیا ہے تو اسے سزا تو ملے گی۔ “ اب کی بار کمرے کی فضا میں ایک سرد پن گھل گیا۔

” مگر وہ تو بدلہ لے رہا ہے نا ؟ قتل کے بدلے میں قتل کر رہا ہے !“ اسرا کی بات پر ارمان نے اثبات میں سر ہلایا ۔

” پھر اسے کیوں سزا ملے گی ؟ “اب کی بار نعمان شاکڈ لہجے میں بولا تو ارمان نے اپنے بالوں میں ہاتھ پھیرا۔

 ”اسرا، نعمان !  قانون مجرم کے مجبوریاں نہیں دیکھتا۔ وہ یہ نہیں دیکھتا کہ مجرم نے کوئی جرم کیوں کیا ہے؟ وہ صرف مجرم کا جرم دیکھتا ہے اور اسے سزا دیتا ہے ۔“ وہ اپنے آپ  پر ضبط کے گہرے پہرے بٹھاتے ہوئے گویا ہوا ۔اس کی بات پر نعمان جھنجھلا اٹھا۔

” پھر دلاور شاہ کے جرم کو کیوں نہیں دیکھا گیا ؟ اس کے ساتھیوں کے جرم کو کیوں نہیں دیکھا گیا ؟ ان کو بھی تو سزا ملنی چاہیے ۔“ وہ طیش کے عالم میں بولا۔

” نعمان ! ہوش کے ناخن لو۔ یہاں انصاف کا نظام نہیں بلکہ لاٹھی کا نظام رائج ہے ۔تم نے نہیں سنا جس کی لاٹھی اس کی بھینس ؟“  نعمان نے اس کی بات پر اپنا سر جھٹکا۔ یہ کیسا نظام تھا ؟؟

”کل لاٹھی دلاور شاہ کے پاس تھی۔ ظاہری طور پر آج بھی اسی کے پاس ہے ۔مگر اصل میں آج لاٹھی فیصل افنان احمد کے ہاتھوں میں ہے ۔اور وہ سب کو سزا دے گا ۔“ اب اس کا غصہ ٹھنڈا ہو چکا تھا۔ اسے سمجھ آگئی تھی کہ وہ قانون کے ذریعے کچھ نہیں کر سکتا ۔
