اس کی سنہری آنکھیں انگوٹھی پر ٹکی ہوئی تھی۔ وہ اس کو دیکھتے ہوئے سوچ رہی تھی۔
” کیا اس انگوٹھی میں اتنی طاقت ہے کہ یہ میرے رشتے کو بچا سکے؟ بلکل نہیں۔ پھر ہم رشتے بناتے وقت انگوٹھی کیوں پہناتے ہے؟ اگر ہم اپنے رشتوں کی شروعات اپنے آپ سے اس رشتے کو وفا اور عزت سے نبھانے کا وعدہ لے تو کیا یہ زیادہ اچھا نا ہو گا؟”
اس نے اب اپنی نظریں اٹھا کر آسمان کی طرف دیکھا۔ اس کے اندر پچھتاوے کی لہر اٹھی ” کاش میرے ساتھ اتنا برا نہ ہوتا! کاش میں نے سب کی بات مان لی ہوتی! میرے ساتھ محبت کے نام پر اتنا بڑا دھوکا نا کھیلا جاتا۔ لیکن کیا واقعی میں دھوکا صرف محبت کے رشتے سے کھیلا گیا تھا؟ اس کے ساتھ تو دھوکا دوسرے رشتوں کے نام پر بھی کھیلا گیا تھا۔”
وہ شدید ذہنی تناؤ کا شکار تھی۔ اس کے کانوں میں ماضی کی آوازیں گونجنے لگی۔ سنہری آنکھوں میں کرب اترنے لگا۔ اس نے زور سے اپنی مٹھی بند کی۔ ٹکڑا اس کے ہاتھوں میں چبھ رہا تھا لیکن وہ اس نے مزید سختی سے مٹھی بند کیں۔ آوازیں بند نہیں ہورہی تھی۔ اس نے مٹھی کھول کر اپنے ہاتھ کانوں پر رکھ دیا۔ لیکن آوازیں تھی کہ دم توڑنے کا نام ہی نہیں لے رہی تھی۔ وہ آہستہ واش روم کے فرش پر بیٹھتی چلی گئی۔ہاتھوں سے کانوں کو ڈھانپے وہ اپنا سر نفی میں ہلا رہی تھی۔
لبوں سے بس یہی نکل رہا تھا “خاموش ہو جاؤ، خدا کے لیے ، اللّٰہ کے لیے۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔”
