بالآخر میر عمیر نے اپنا فیصلہ سُنا دیا۔
“ابو یہ آپ کیا کہہ رہے ہیں؟”
فرہاد بوکھلا کر اٹھ کھڑا ہوا۔وہ اچھے سے جانتا تھا کہ باپ کے دماغ میں یہ خناس کس نے بھری تھی۔ عالیہ چچی کو بہو سے زیادہ میر زبیر کے سنبھالے سارے بزنس میں دلچسپی تھی جو بیٹیوں کی شادی کی صورت میں داماد کے ہاتھ ہی آنا تھا۔عشمیرہ کو سخت نا پسند کرنے کے باوجود بھی وہ اُسے بہو بنانے کو تیار تھیں صرف اِس لالچ میں کہ یہ سب دھن دولت جس پہ میر زبیر اور اُنکے بیوی بچے عیش کر رہے تھے اُس پہ پورا پورا حق اُنکی اولاد کو مِلے۔جب عشمیرہ ہاتھ سے نکلی تو سارے راستے بند ہو گئے اور پھر اب جب زرمین بیوہ ہو کر واپس باپ کے گھر آن بسی تو اب کی بار وہ یہ موقع کسی صورت نہیں گنوانا چاہتی تھیں۔
“تم چپ کر کے بیٹھو فرہاد۔”
میر عمیر نے ٹوکا تو وہ تیز لہجے میں بولا۔
“بالکل نہیں ابو۔آپ امی کی الٹی سیدھی باتوں میں آ گئے یہ جانتے ہوئے بھی کہ زری کے ساتھ پہلے بھی کچھ اچھا نہیں ہوا۔”
آخر میں اُسکا انداز متاسفانہ تھا۔فرحین بڑے آرام سے کھڑی تھی جیسے اِس بارے میں پہلے ہی جانتی تھی۔نورین اور میر زبیر انگشتِ بدنداں تھے۔
“سوری تایا ابو میں نے پہلے ایک دفعہ آپکو عشمیرہ کے لیے منع کیا تھا۔اب میں اِس بات کا اعتراف بھی کرتا ہوں کہ میں اُس وقت غلطی پر تھا۔وہ مجھ سے بچپن سے منسوب تھی مجھے انکار نہیں کرنا چاہیے تھا۔”
اُس نے دھیمے مؤدب انداز میں میر زبیر کو مخاطب کیا جو مٹھیاں بھینچے بیٹھے تھے۔
“اور اب میں اِس نئے فیصلے سے بھی انکار کرتا ہوں۔اور وجہ سب کو اچھے سے معلوم ہے۔پر اِس دفعہ مجھے انکار کا کوئی افسوس نہیں ہوگا۔”
اُس کا لہجہ مضبوط تھا۔وہ اچھا دوست تھا واصف کے دل کی بات سے اچھے سے واقف تھا۔اِس لیے اب مزید کسی کے ساتھ زیادتی نہیں چاہتا تھا۔
“ٹھیک ہے۔تم جاؤ فرہاد۔”
