“کس بیٹی کی تکلیف پر لرزوں؟وہ بیٹی جس کی وجہ سے مجھ سے میری بیوی چھن گئی؟اس بیٹی کے لیے پریشان ہوں جو پیدا ہوتے ہی اپنی ماں کو نگل گئی؟میں گل ناز کے بغیر ایک دن بھی نہیں گزار سکتا تھا مگر اس نے مجھ سے میری زندگی کا سب سے اہم رشتہ چھین لیا۔میں گل ناز سے کہتا بھی تھا کہ مجھے اولاد نہیں چاہیے مگر وہ بضد تھی اور اسی کی ضد کی وجہ سے یہ منحوس میرے سر پر مسلط ہو گئی۔” وہ کرسی سے اٹھتے چِلائے تو خالدہ بیگم بھی گھبرا کر کام چھوڑتے لاؤنج میں آ گئیں۔
“آپ کو لگتا ہے کہ آپ ابرش سے نفرت کر کے تائی جان سے محبت کا ثبوت دے رہے ہیں؟وہ آپ کے پاس ان کی آخری نشانی ہے۔آپ دونوں کے وجود کا حصہ ہے۔کیا واقعی آپ کو اس کی تکلیف سے کوئی فرق نہیں پڑتا؟ساری زندگی تو اسے اپنی ڈانٹ اور مار سے اس کی بدنصیبی اور یتیمی کا احساس دلاتے رہے ہیں۔کم از کم آج تو باپ بن کر سوچ لیں۔آج تو ایک باپ ہونے کا فرض نبھا کر تائی جان کی روح کو سکون دے دیں۔لڑکی کے رات بھر گھر سے غائب رہنے کا مطلب سمجھتے ہیں پھر بھی یہاں سکون سے بیٹھے ہیں جیسے وہ آپ کی نہیں بلکہ کسی دشمن کی بیٹی ہے۔خدارا اپنی انا اور نفرت کو ایک طرف رکھ کر اس کے بارے میں سوچیں۔آج تک آپ نے اسے مار اور دھتکار کے علاوہ کچھ نہیں دیا مگر آج اسے آپ کی ضرورت ہے۔پلیز آغا جان میں آپ کے سامنے ہاتھ جوڑتا ہوں۔” وہ کہنا شروع ہوا تو غصہ میں تھا مگر پھر اس کا لہجہ غم زدہ اور التجائیہ ہو گیا۔آغا جان کچھ دیر اس کے جڑے ہاتھوں کو دیکھتے رہے پھر خفت سے سر جھٹک کر واپس بیٹھے۔
“اچھا میں پولیس کو فون کر دوں گا۔اب میرا پیچھا چھوڑ دو۔” وہ کہہ کر چائے کے گھونٹ بھرنے لگے جو حلق میں اٹک کر آگے جانے سے انکاری تھی۔
“کاش میں آپ کے منہ پر زوردار طمانچہ مار سکتا لیکن بےفکر رہیں مکافاتِ عمل کا ایسا طمانچہ پڑے گا کہ آپ حیران و پریشان رہ جائیں گے جیسے میں زمل کی موت کے بعد رہ گیا ہوں۔” غزلان انہیں ڈراتے ہوئے ایک نظر خالدہ بیگم پر ڈال کر باہر نکل گیا جبکہ آغا جان کے دل کو کسی ان دیکھی تکلیف نے خود میں جکڑ لیا۔شاید وہ تکلیف نہیں تھی بلکہ صرف خوف تھا۔۔اپنی انا اور غرور کے مٹی ہو جانے کا خوف۔۔
