” بابا جی ہدایت کیا ہوتی ہے؟” اس نے ان کے سامنے گھٹنوں کے بل بیٹھ کر بے تابی سے پوچھا. اس کے جواب میں وہ ہنوز سر جھکائے تسبیح کے دانے گراتے رہے. پھر آخر کار دو منٹ بعد انہوں نے جھکا ہوا سر اٹھایا اور ہلکا سا مسکرائے.
” اپنے دل سے پوچھو. تمہارا دل جانتا ہے.”
” نہیں بابا وہ نہیں جانتا.”
اس نے بغیر سوچے سمجھے کہا.
” میں دماغ کی نہیں دل کی بات کر رہا ہوں. دماغ بے شک نہیں لیکن دل واقف ہے. پوچھو اس دل سے کہ ہدایت کیا ہوتی ہے؟”
“بابا جی آپ بتائیں نا.” وہ بضد ہوئی. دل کی دھڑکن تیز ہوتی جا رہی تھی.
” نماز پڑھتی ہے؟”
“وہ… بچپن میں پڑھتی تھی.” “اب کیوں نہیں پڑھتی؟ اس ذات پہ ایمان نہیں رہا یا بھروسہ یا توکل؟” ان کے سوال پر وہ چپ رہی. بولنے کو کچھ بچا ہی نہیں تھا.
“نماز پڑھا کر.” وہ کہہ کر اپنا جھولا اٹھائے کھڑے ہوئے اور اپنی سیدھے ہاتھ کی شہادت والی انگلی آسمان کی جانب کرتے ہوئے زور سے بولے.
“وہی خدا ہے. وہی بندگی کے لائق. اسی سے مانگو کیونکہ وہی دینے والا ہے. وہی دیتا ہے. اور وہی دے گا.” اس کے بعد وہ رکے نہیں اور آگے بڑھتے چلے گئے اور پیچھے نوری خیالات میں گھری کھڑی رہ گئی.
