وہ لوگوں کی طرح طرح کی باتیں سن رہا تھا جب اس کے کانوں میں عالیار کی کچھ دن پہلے کہی گئی بات گونجی “اللہ ہر ظالم کو ذلیل اور ہر متکبر کو بے عزت ضرور کرتا ہے۔۔”

اس کا دل کیا کہ وہ اپنے کانوں پر ہاتھ رکھ کر ان آوازوں کو بند کر دے لیکن عالیار نے اسے اس قابل چھوڑا ہی نہیں تھا کہ وہ اپنی مرضی سے اپنے کانوں پر ہاتھ بھی رکھ سکتا۔۔

اسے آج خدا سے بہت خوف محسوس ہو رہا تھا۔ اسے آج پہلی مرتبہ قبر کے عذاب سے ڈر لگ رہا تھا۔ اسے آج پہلی مرتبہ اس بات کا احساس ہو رہا تھا کہ وہ اپنی دنیا و آخرت دونوں تباہ کر چکا ہے۔

اس کا پورا جسم خوف سے کانپ رہا تھا۔ اس کے لب کپکپا رہے تھے۔ اس کی انکھوں میں وحشت ہی وحشت تھی۔

اسے یاد آیا کہ بچپن میں ایک مرتبہ اس نے قرآن ترجمہ کے ساتھ پڑھا تھا پھر وہ کیسے اللہ کے احکامات بھول گیا۔۔؟ نہیں معلوم کیسے لیکن آج ایک عرصے بعد اسے قرآن کی ایک آیت یاد آئی۔۔

“بے شک تیرے رب کی پکڑ بہت سخت ہے۔”

(سورۃ البروج|آیت نمبر 12)

آج وہ بُری طرح سے پکڑا گیا تھا اور اب تو شاید اس کی توبہ بھی قبول ہونے والی نہیں تھی۔۔؟ آخر کس منہ سے توبہ کرتا۔۔؟ اور موت کے ڈر سے بھی جو توبہ کی جاتی ہے وہ بھی کوئی توبہ ہوتی ہے بھلا۔۔؟

اس کا چہرہ خوف سے زرد پڑ چکا تھا۔۔

اسے یاد آیا جب اس نے زَروا کو کہا تھا کون ہے مجھے روکنے والا اور زَروا نے کہا تھا اللہ ہے نا لیکن اس وقت وہ اتنے تکبر میں تھا کہ وہ بول بیٹھا تھا تو پھر روکتا کیوں نہیں۔۔؟

اس لمحے اس کا دل کیا کہ وہ دھاڑیں مار مار کر روئے کہ وہ کس سے لڑ رہا تھا۔۔؟ بھلا خدا کو بھی چیلنج کیا جاتا ہے۔۔؟ اگر اس نے ڈھیل دے رکھی تھی تو وہ خود ہی کو دنیا میں سب سے زیادہ طاقتور سمجھنے لگا تھا۔۔؟ اور یہ بات بھول گیا تھا کہ کہ بادشاہ صرف ایک ہے، سب سے زیادہ طاقتور صرف ایک ہے اور حکمرانی صرف اسی کی ہے۔ وہ جب چاہے ظالم سے اس کے ظلم کا حساب لے سکتا ہے۔

پھر وہ لمحہ آن پہنچا جس کا سب کو انتظار تھا۔۔زَروا بھی عالیار کا ہاتھ تھامے دور کھڑی اسے دیکھ رہی تھی۔

یہ وہ منظر تھا جو ظالموں کے دلوں میں اگلے کچھ لمحوں میں خوف پیدا کرنے والا تھا اور مظلوموں کے دلوں کو سکون پہنچانے والا تھا۔
