” تم مجھ سے ایسے سوال پوچھنے کے حقدار نہیں ہو جتنا پوچھا گیا ہے بس اس کا جواب دو ” عثمان مصطفیٰ کی سگریٹ ختم ہو چکی تھی اب وہ اسے سامنے پڑی ایش ٹرے میں مسل کر بجھا رہے تھے ۔
” میں بھی یہی کہ رہا ہوں کہ آپ مجھ سے اس طرح کے سوال پوچھنے کا حق نہیں رکھتے “
” تم ۔۔۔۔۔” سعد نے ان کی بات کاٹ دی ۔
” میں کوئی چھوٹا بچہ نہیں ہوں میں اپنے فیصلے خود کر سکتا ہوں ” سعد اٹھ کھڑا ہوا اور کمرے سے باہر نکالنے لگا ” اور ویسی بھی جب میں بچہ تھا تب آپ کو میری اتنی پروا نہیں تھی تو اب بھی نہیں ہونی چاہیے ” کمرے کے دروازے پر پہنچ کر اس نے ایک دفعہ پیچھے مڑ کر عثمان مصطفیٰ سے کہا اور باہر نکل گیا وہ صرف سرخ آنکھوں سے اسے باہر جاتا دیکھتے رہ گئے
سعد جب اپنے کمرے میں آیا تو اس کے دماغ پر صرف غصہ سوار تھا تھوڑی دیر پہلے والا سکون اور خوشی جیسے یک دم غایب ہو گئی تھی اس نے اپنے کمرے کا دروازہ زور سے بند کیا اور ٹیرس میں چلا گیا ۔اس نے دبی سے ایک سگریٹ نکالی اور اسے جلا کر پینے لگا ۔
( کمرے کے کونے میں چھوٹا بچہ اپنا منہ چھپائے رو رہا تھا باہر سے شور ایک عورت اور ایک مرد دونوں اپس میں جھگڑ رہے تھے )
” تم یہ سب چھوڑ کے واپس کیوں نہیں آتے ہو ” عورت غصے بھرے لہجے میں کہ رہی تھی ۔
” تم جانتی ہو میں وہاں نہیں رہ سکتا ” مرد بھی اس کے اوپر چلا رہا تھا ۔
” کیوں کیونکہ یہاں تمہیں کوئی روکنے والا نہیں ہے ؟ یہاں تم جیسا چاہے میرے ساتھ سلوک کر سکتے ہو اس لیے تم واپس نہیں جانا چاہتے بولو جواب دو” عورت کی آنکھوں سے اب آنسو بہنے لگے تھے ۔
” میں تمہیں جواب دے نہیں ہوں ” مرد اب اس سب سے اکتا گیا تھا یہ عثمان مصطفیٰ اور ان کی بیگم نورین صدیقی تھیں یہ ان دونوں کے درمیان پہلا جھگڑ ا نہیں تھا جب سے عثمان مصطفیٰ پاکستان چھوڑ کر لندن آئے ہیں تب سے ان کے درمیان انگنت جھگڑے ہو چکے تھے عثمان مصطفیٰ لندن آنے کے بعد بہت بدل چکے تھے انہیں اب نورین میں کوئی دلچسپی نہیں رہی تھیں وہ ہر وقت مصروف رہتے تھے اور شاید نورین ان کی مصروفیات کی وجہ جان چکی تھی تب ہی انہیں واپس پاکستان ساتھ چلنے کو کہ رہی تھیں مگر عثمان اب واپسی کا کوئی ارادہ نہیں رکھتے ۔
” اگر آپ میرے ساتھ نہیں رہنا چاہتے تو آپ مجھے صاف صاف کیوں نہیں کہ دیتے ہیں” نورین اب تھک چکے تھیں اور بس روئی جو رہی تھیں ان کی آنکھوں سے آنسو نہیں رک رہے تھے ۔
” اگر تم جانا چاہتی ہو تو میں تمہیں روکوں گا نہیں” عثمان مصطفیٰ نے اسی طرح بے روخی سے جواب دیا ۔
