“ہمم”
“مجھے تُم سے بات کرنی ہے” وہ کالج کے گراؤنڈ میں اپنے دوستوں کیساتھ بیٹھا تھا جب ایک لڑکی نے آکر اُس سے یہ کہا۔
“بتاؤ سُن رہا ہوں” اُس نے اُوپر کی طرف مُنہ کر کے کہا۔
“یہاں نہیں اُدھر چل کے بات کرتے ہیں”۔
اُس نے تھوڑے فاصلے پر کھڑے درخت کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہوۓ کہا۔
بُرھان حیران ہوۓ بغیر اُٹھ کھڑا ہوا جیسے اُس کا روز کا کام ہو۔
“کہو کیا کہنا ہے” اُدھر پہنچ کر بُرھان نے لڑکی سے پُوچھا جو کنفیوز سی کھڑی تھی۔
“وہ مم میں تُم وہ” وہ اُنگلیاں چٹخا رہی تھی شاید بہت زیادہ کنفیوز ہو رہی تھی۔
“کیا میں تُم لگا رکھی ہے جلدی بتاؤ کیا ہے” کہتے ہوۓ اُس نے گھڑی کی طرف دیکھا۔
“میں تُم سے پیار کرتی ہوں” وہ بلآخر بول پڑی۔
“تو” وہ ایسے بولا جیسے اُسے فرق ہی نہ پڑا ہو۔
لڑکی کا کانفیڈینس مزید ہوا ہونے لگا۔
“تو یہ کہ تُم مجھ سے شادی کر لو ” وہ بمُشکل ہی بول پائی۔
یہ سُنتے ہی بُرھان نے ایک زور دار قہقہہ لگایا۔
“کیا کہا شادی کر لُوں وہ بھی تُم سے سچ میں ہاہاہا کرنی بھی تُم سے ہے جاؤ جا کر پہلے اپنی شیشے میں شکل دیکھو اور بتاؤ کہاں سے خُوبصُورت ہو”۔
لڑکی کا چہرہ دھواں ہو چُکا تھا۔
ذِلت کا احساس شدت سے ہو رہا تھا۔
اُسے ویسے چھوڑ کے بُرھان جانے لگا تو پھر رُک گیا اور بولا۔
“ویسے بھی مجھے بیوی چاہیے نوکرانی نہیں جو کوئی بھی منہ اُٹھا کر آۓ گی اور میں شادی کر لُوں گا”۔
اور بس یہ آخری وار تھا اُس کی ذات پر اُس کے بعد وہ جیتے جی مر چُکی تھی۔
