اماں تو نے زارا کو ٹرپ پہ کیوں بھیجا میری اجازت کے بغیر؟ تو جانتی ہے وہاں اس کا ننھیال ہے اور اگر کوئی اونچ نیچ ہو گئی تو وہ لڑکی میرے ہاتھ سے نکل جانی ہے۔” ریحان نے غصے سے ماں کی طرف دیکھا۔
ماں نے ایک لمحے کے لیے کچھ نہیں کہا، پھر سنجیدگی سے بولی، “میں نے نہیں، تیرے باپ نے بھیجا ہے اسے۔ انہی کے پاس گئی تھی اجازت لینے۔ ‘چچا، کیا میں ایبٹ آباد جاؤں؟’ اور چچا نے اس کی بھولی مکار شکل دیکھ کے ہاں کر دی۔” چچی زارا کی نفرت میں کچھ زیادہ ہی بول رہی تھی۔
ریحان نے غصے سے قدم زمین پر مارتے ہوئے کہا، “اماں، میں تجھے بتا رہا ہوں، اگر اس کے ننھیال والوں نے کوئی ہوشیاری کی تو مجھ سے برا کوئی نہیں ہو گا۔”
اماں نے غصے سے ریحان کی طرف دیکھتے ہوئے کہا، “ارے منحوس مارے، وہ یونیورسٹی کی طرف سے ٹرپ پہ گئی ہے، نہ کہ اپنے منحوس رشتہ داروں سے ملنے۔”
“اماں، وہ واپس آئے تو تو اس سے میرا نکاح کروا دے۔
کیا بکواس کر رہا ہے؟ اماں نے غصے سے کہا، یہ کبھی نہیں ہو گا کہ تیری شادی اس لڑکی سے ہو۔
یہ تو وقت بتائے گا کہ کہاں شادی ہونی ہے کہاں نہیں۔ اس نے زور سے دروازہ مارا اور باہر نکل گیا۔
