“خبردار محترمہ میرے کردار پہ ایک بھی بات کرنے سے پہلے یاد رکھیے کہ میں نے آپ کو چھوا نہیں ہے بلکہ آپ کو اپنی خوشبو کے حصار میں مقید کیا ہے جو آپ پہلے سے تو ہیں ہی مگر میرا مقصد آپ کو یہ باور کرانا تھا کہ آپ شہرام خان کی امانت ہیں۔”
شہرام کے سیاہ آنکھوں کے گوشے سرخ ہوئے اس کی بات پہ مگر پھر بھی وہ اس کے چہرے کے قریب جھکتے سرگوشیانہ لہجے میں گویا ہوا یہاں تک کہ اس کی گرم سانسیں اسے اپنے چہرے پہ پڑتی محسوس ہوئی۔اس نے نزدیکی سے اس کے ماتھے پہ ابھرتی رگوں کو دیکھا تھا۔پریسہ کا دل بےساختہ ڈوب کر ابھرا۔
“نکاح کریں گی مجھ سے۔”
مقابل کی بات پہ اس نے جھٹکے سے چہرہ اٹھاتے بےیقینی سے اس کی جانب دیکھا جو شاید جلے پہ نمک چھڑکنے میں ماہر تھا۔یہ بات کہتے ہوئے بھی اس کا چہرہ ہنوز کرخت تھا۔ناگواریت کی شدید لہر اس کے وجود میں برقی کی مانند پھیل گئی۔
“نہیں کروں گی نکاح میں آپ سے۔کبھی نہیں کروں گی۔مرچکی ہے وہ محبت جو میرے دل میں کبھی آپ کیلیے تھی۔آپ رہے اپنی انا کے زعم میں۔ویسے بھی آپ کو تو میرے سے کوئی دلی لگاؤ نہیں نا تو پھر یہ نکاح کیوں۔”
وہ انگلی اٹھاتی سختی سے اسے تنبیہہ کرتی آخر میں اذیت بھرے لہجے میں بولی۔ماضی کی انہی لمحات نے اس کے زخم بری طرح تازہ کیے تھے جب صرف آنسو ہی اس کا مقدر بن کر رہ گئے تھے اور وہ بھی فقط اس شخص کی بدولت۔
یہ ہمت صرف آپ ہی کرسکتی ہیں کہ میرے سامنے انگلی اٹھائیں ورنہ یہ جرأت کرنے والے شخص کو اگلی سانس بھی نصیب نہیں ہوتی۔خوش نصیب گردانے خود کو۔”
وہ اس کی انگلی پہ سرد نگاہ ڈالتے برفیلے لہجے میں بولا جواباً وہ تلخی سے ہنس دی۔اس کا زردی مائل چہرہ مسلسل اس کی عقابی نگاہوں کے حصار میں تھا۔
“خوش نصیب مت کہیں بدنصیب کہیں اور یہ سستے ڈائیلاگ جھاڑنے کی بلکل ضرورت نہیں ہے آپ سے نکاح کرنے سے بہتر ہے کہ کسی پہاڑ کی چوٹی سے کود کر خود کی جان لے لوں۔”
وہ کھردرے لہجے میں جل کر بولی۔
اس کی بات پہ شہرام کے گھنی مونچھوں تلے بھینچے ہوئے عنابی لبوں پہ بہم سی مسکراہٹ نے احاطہ کیا جو اس کے دوبارہ اپنی جانب متوجہ ہونے پہ وہ سکیڑ گیا۔وہ اپنا آپ کسی پہ ظاہر نہیں کرتا تھا اور یہی تو اس کی شخصیت کا خاصہ تھا۔ شہرام خان ایک الجھی پہیلی۔اسے ایسا محسوس ہوا جیسے اس کی بات پہ وہ ہنسا تھا۔کیا وہ اس کا مذاق اڑارہا تھا۔پریسہ کے تن بدن میں آگ لگ گئی۔
