“غضب خدا کا یہ بڑھیا ہمیں لے ڈوبے گی آج آ جائیں یہ گھر کرتی ہوں بات۔” وہ ابھی ابھی اماں کی دوائیوں کے بل دیکھ کر آئی تھی۔نرسیز کی تنخواہ ہسپتال اور دوا کے خرچے ساری تنخواہ اسی میں ختم ہو جاتی تھی۔ رومانہ کا روز روز حفیظ کے ساتھ الجھنا اور پیسوں کی تنگی وہ بہت چڑ چڑا ہو گیا تھا ایک سال سے اوپر ہونے والا تھا۔ وہ ان کی دوا پہ لاکھوں لگا چکا تھا۔ جن دو کو کام پہ رکھا تھا وہ ہمہ وقت چھٹی کرتیں رومانہ اماں کا کام کم کرتی باتیں زیادہ کرتی آج بھی رات والی نرس نے چھٹی کر لی تھی ندرت انکو دوا کھلا کر فارغ ہوئی۔
“بہو صبح فجر سے پہلے اٹھ کر مجھے روٹی بنا دینا میں نے روزہ رکھنا ہے۔” وہ اٹکتے ہوئے بولیں۔
“آدھی رات تک جاگ کر تمہاری خدمتیں کرو پھر منہ اندھیرے اٹھ کر کھانا بنا کر پیش کرو۔ اماں تم بس اللہ اللہ کرو روزہ رکھنے کی سکت کہاں تم میں اور میں کوئی نہیں اٹھ رہی۔” وہ جلی کٹی سنا کر چلی گئی تھی۔ وہ اپنے آنسو صاف کرنے لگی کیا وقت آ گیا تھا۔
“ان پر اللہ مجھے معاف کر دے میرے گناہوں کو بخش دے میرے مالک کبھی کسی کو کسی کا محتاج نہ کرنا۔” وہ پھر سے رونے لگیں۔اگلی صبح انہوں نے بنا کچھ کھائے ہی روزہ کی نیت کر لی تھی۔
صبح جب نرس آئی تو انہوں نے دوا لینے سے انکار کر دیا۔ بلکل بھوکا ہونے کی وجہ سے شوگر لیول بہت لو ہو گیا تھا۔اگر اب بھی وہ کچھ نہ کھاتیں تو نقصان کا اندیشہ زیادہ تھا۔ مگر وہ اپنا روزہ روڑنے کے لیے تیار نہیں تھیں نرس نے بہت کہا کہ نفلی روزہ ہے صحت اور زندگی کے لیے سب معاف ہے آپ کھول لیں مگر وہ نہ مانیں۔
“اماں کو کیا ضرورت ہے روزہ رکھنے کی حالت تو دیکھیں اپنی ایسی حالت میں تو فرض روزے کی بھی معافی ہے۔” اور اب بات حفیظ تک گئی تو وہ بھڑک اٹھا۔ “وہ بھی بنا کچھ کھائے پیئے۔”وہ ہنوز غصے میں تھا۔
“اگر مجھے کہتیں تو میں ضرور اٹھ کر کچھ بن دیتی۔” رومانہ نے اپنی صفائی پیش کی وہ خاموشی سے بیٹھ گیا۔
