لگتا ہے تمھیں اپنی زندگی عزیز نہیں ہے سلیم تبھی تو اتنی ذلت کے بعد بھی منہ اٹھا کر بے شرموں کی طرح میرے سامنے کھڑے ہو وہ کہتے ہیں ناں “لاتوں کے بھوت باتوں سے نہیں مانتے” تمھارا بھی یہی حال ہے تمھیں صرف مار کی زبان سمجھ آتی ہے اگر ایسا ہے تو ایسا ہی سہی اسکی بھنویں تنی ہوئی تھی۔اس نے دانت پیس کر کہا۔
کسی روز تمھیں اپنی ذات سے متعلق یہ خوش فہمیاں لے ڈوبیں گئ خزام شاہ۔۔!!!
تمھاری یہ غلط فہمی بھی بہت جلد دور کر دونگا۔خیر تمھاری بکواس سننے کے لیے میرے پاس ٹائم نہیں ہے سخت لہجے میں کہہ کر وہ آگے کو چل دیا ساتھ ساتھ سلیم بھی چلنے لگا۔
دیکھو خزام تمھارے کہنے پر میں نے اس رشتے سے انکار کر دیا ہے۔
تو۔۔۔؟؟؟ اگر تم نہ بھی کرتے تو بھی اکاشہ تمھاری نہ ہوتی وہ اسے کھا جانے والی نظروں سے دیکھ کر بولا۔۔۔

اور میں تمھاری خوش فہمی دور کرنا چاہتا ہوں میرے انکار کرنے پر اکاشہ کی ماں غم سے نڈھال ہو رہی ہے اگر میں اس رشتے کے لیے ہاں کی تو تم سمجھ رہے ہو طنزیہ انداز میں مسکرا کر کہا۔
کتنے پیسے چاہئے تمھیں اسکی آواز میں لاپروائی تھی۔
بہت سمجھ دار آدمی ہو اچھا کیا جو خود پوچھ لیا ذیادہ نہیں صرف پچاس کروڑ روپے سلیم ڈھٹائی سے گویا ہوا۔
بس اتنے۔۔۔؟؟؟تمھیں اتنے پیسے دونگا تم ساری زندگی بیٹھ کر کھاؤ گے خزام کی بات سن کر سلیم کی آنکھوں کی چمک مزید بڑھی آج شام تمھارے اکاؤنٹ میں رقم ٹرانسفر ہو جائے گے آج کے بعد اکاشہ کے آس پاس نظر نا آنا اور نہ مجھے اپنی منحوس شکل دوبارہ نا دیکھنا ماتھے پر تیوری چڑھائے وہ جاگنگ ٹریک پر تیز تیز قدم اٹھاتا آگے نکل گیا۔
جاگنگ سے سپاٹ چہرے کے ساتھ گھر واپس آتے ہی خزام شاہ نے سب کو ڈائنگ ٹیبل پر موجود پایا دادو رافع ، سلطانہ بیگم، زارا سب براجمان تھے۔
خزام نے سب کو پرپوزل کے بارے میں بتانا آج ہی مناسب سمجھا۔مجھے آپ سب سے ضروری بات کرنی ہے دادو سے مخاطب ہوتے ہوئے وہ انکی ساتھ والی کرسی پر براجمان ہوتے ہوئے بولا۔
خزام نے سنجیدہ لہجے میں کہا ڈاینگ ٹیبل پر خزام کی بات سنتے ہی سناٹا چھا گیا تھا سب لوگ اسکی طرف متوجہ ہوئے دادو خزام کی بات سن کر بولی۔ضرور تم ملک سے باہر جا رہے ہو اور ہر بار کی طرح اب بھی تمھاری ماں کو راضی کرنے کے لیے تمھیں میری مدر چاہئے ہو گی پر اس بار تمھاری دادو تمھاری کوئی ہمایت نہیں کریں گی خفہ لہجے میں بول کر وہ گلاس میں جوس ڈالنے لگی۔
