“میں آپ سے محبت کر ہی نہیں سکتی۔” اس نے گردن اٹھا کر بڑے وثوق سے کہا۔
“کیوں نہیں کر سکتی؟” مسکراتا چہرہ اچانک سنجیدگی میں بدل گیا۔
“کیونکہ میں جب بھی آپ کو دل سے اپنانے یا محبت کرنے کی کوشش کرتی ہوں۔۔۔۔تو میری آنکھوں کے سامنے وہ منظر آجاتا ہے جب آپ نے احسن کی جان لینا چاہی۔۔۔۔مجھے یاد آ جاتا ہے کہ آپ اس شخص کے قاتل ہیں جس سے کبھی میں نے دل سے سچی محبت کی تھی۔ میں سب کچھ بھلا سکتی ہوں آریال۔۔۔۔پر یہ کبھی نہیں بھلا سکتی کہ آپ نے خود اپنے ہاتھوں سے میرے پیار کا قتل کیا تھا۔” وہ بمشکل زور لگا کر بولی تھی۔ اس کا دل تعصب کے گہرے احساس سے بھر گیا۔ وہ خود بھی نہیں جانتی تھی کہ کب آنسوؤں کے پُر حدت قطرے مسلسل اس کے گالوں پر لڑکھ رہے تھے۔ لیکن مقابل کے دل و دماغ میں ایک حشر برپا ہو چکا تھا۔ ایسے لگتا تھا جیسے اس کے وجود میں پھیلتی گرمی اسکا فشار خون بھڑکا رہی ہو۔ بس پھر وہی ہوا جو ہمیشہ سے ہوتا تھا۔ آریال کا غصہ قابو سے باہر ہونے لگا۔ اسنے جن ہاتھوں سے کندھے سے تھام رکھا تھا انہی کو زور لگا کر وہ اسے بیڈ پر دھکیل گیا۔ میرم دھڑام سے گری تھی۔ آریال کی آنکھوں کی سرخ رنگت دیکھ کر وہ کہنیاں میٹرس پر ٹکا کر گھٹنوں کو سمیٹتی ہوئی پیچھے کی طرف کھسکنے لگی۔
“کتنی بار منع کیا تھا کہ میرے سامنے دوبارہ اپنے اس دھوکے باز عاشق کا نام مت لینا؟ لیکن تمہیں میری بات سمجھ نہیں آئی۔ اب دوسرے طریقے سے سمجھاؤں گا۔ اینڈ ٹرسٹ می!۔۔۔۔۔آئندہ تمہاری زبان سے غلطی سے بھی اسکا نام نہیں نکلے گا۔” اسکی جھنجھلاتی آواز نے اسکے پیروں سے زمین کھینچ لی تھی۔ آریال نے جب اپنی پینٹ کا بیلٹ کھینچ کر نکالا تو میرم آنکھیں پھاڑ کر محسوس کئے جانے والے خطرے کو دیکھنے لگی۔ جان گئی تھی کہ اب بیلٹ سے اسکی پٹائی ہوگی۔
“ننن۔۔۔ننن۔۔۔نہیں ۔۔۔۔۔۔آ۔۔۔۔آ۔۔۔۔آریال۔۔۔۔ممم۔۔۔ممم۔۔۔مممم۔۔۔مجھے معاف۔۔۔ککک۔۔۔کر۔۔۔۔ددد۔۔۔دیں۔۔۔ممم۔۔میں۔۔۔۔آئن۔۔۔۔۔”
“اب معافی نہیں ملے گی۔ کہا تھا میں نے میں باتوں کو بار بار ریپیٹ نہیں کرتا۔۔۔۔اب صرف سزا ملے گی۔” پھنکار کر کہتے ہوۓ وہ گھٹنے بیڈ پر رکھے اسکی طرف بڑھنے لگا۔ میرم کا دل دھک کر رہ گیا۔ وہ سسکیاں لیکر نفی میں سر ہلانے لگی۔
“آریال۔۔۔پپ۔۔پلیززز۔۔۔۔۔پلیز مم۔۔مجھے۔۔۔۔ممم۔۔۔مت ماریں۔” آواز کانپنے لگی اور وہ ہاتھ جوڑ کر اس سے رحم کی بھیک مانگتی دیکھائی دی۔ مگر اس نے اسکو مارنے کیلئے جب بیلٹ بلند کیا تو وہ اپنے چہرے پر دونوں ہتھیلیاں پھیلاۓ تیز تیز سانس لیتی ہوۓ کپکپانے لگی۔ ایسے معلوم ہوتا تھا جیسے وہ آج خوف سے مر ہی جاۓ گی۔ اسکی حالت دیکھ کر آریال کو نہ جانے کیسے اس پر ترس آگیا تھا اور وہ غصے سے ہونٹ بھینچ کر اسے وہیں سسکتا چھوڑے کمرے سے باہر چلا گیا۔ میرم کا سانس کھل کر بحال ہوا مگر آہیں ابھی بھی جاری تھیں۔۔
