جب پہلی بار اپنے لیے آواز اٹھائی تھی تو آبا نے یہ کہا کے تمہیں پڑھا کیا دیا تم تو اپنے ماں باپ کا احترام ہی بھول گئی ، اور اماں نے کہا اچھی لڑکیاں بڑوں کے سامنے بولا نہیں کرتی ان کے فیصلے پر سر جھکا دیتی ہیں ۔
ردا مہر: دکھ ہوا سن کر لیکن نیلم ایک بات یاد رکھنا سچ بولنے سے کبھی نا گھبرانا چاہے قیمت کچھ بھی ہو اور غصہ میں کوئی غلط فیصلہ اپنے لیے مت کرنا ۔

نیلم : ردا یہ بات ٹھیک ہے لیکن مجھے امید نہیں کہ کوئی مانے گا لیکن میں کوشش کرتی رہوں گی ۔
پر اگر میرا دل مرگیا تو ۔ تم جانتی ہو اتنی جلدی میں زمہ داریاں اٹھانے کے لیے بلکل تیار نہیں لیکن آبا کو اپنا بوجھ ہلکا تو کرنا ہے ۔
اس لیے میں ان کی رضا میں راضی ہوگئی ۔
اب وہ جو چاہے اس زندگی کے ساتھ کرلیں شاید ان کے دل کو سکون مل جاۓ اور میں معاشرے کی عزت ولی لڑکی بنی رہوں ۔
( ردا اپنے مرے ہوۓ حصے کو اپنے اندر دابے اپنے آنسوؤں کو روکے نیلم کی ہنسی میں چھپے درد کو دیکھ رہی تھی )
