روشانے توثیق، جو بچپن ہی میں والد کے سایۂ شفقت سے محروم ہو جاتی ہے، اپنے چچا شفیق احمد کے گھر پرورش پاتی ہے۔ چچا کے بیٹے داؤد کی سنگت میں وہ بچپن سے جوانی تک کا سفر طے کرتی ہے۔ دونوں کے دل ایک دوسرے کے لئے دھڑکتے ہیں مگر زبان پر کبھی اقرار نہیں آ پاتا۔

وقت گزرتا ہے، فاصلے بڑھتے ہیں،اور جذبات بڑھتے جاتے ہیں… لیکن قسمت کی لکھی دعا کبھی رد نہیں ہوتی۔ روشانے کی پھوپھو جب اس کا رشتہ لے کر آتی ہیں تو حالات کئی موڑ لیتے ہیں۔ رکاوٹیں آتی ہیں، آنکھیں اشکبار ہوتی ہیں، دل ٹوٹنے کے قریب پہنچتے ہیں… مگر آخر کار وہ دن آتا ہے جب ان کی محبت کو نکاح کی صورت میں رب کی رضا نصیب ہو جاتی ہے۔
