“وہ… وہ… ویسے ہی…” ماہا اٹک اٹک کر بولی۔ رسَل کی سنجیدہ طبیعت سے سب ہی گھبراتے تھے، چھوٹے ہوں یا بڑے—سوائے حوراب شاہ کے۔ یا یوں کہیں کہ رسل شاہ حوراب کے لیے ہمیشہ سے مختلف تھا، بہت مختلف۔
“وہ… وہ کیا؟” وہ سختی سے بولا۔
“ماہا، تم اپنی حرکتوں سے باز آ جاؤ ورنہ مجھ سے بُرا کوئی نہیں ہوگا۔” وہ اُنگلی دکھا کر وارن کر رہا تھا۔
اس سے پہلے کہ وہ وہاں سے جاتا، ماہا کی آواز اُس کے کانوں میں پگھلا ہوا سیسہ انڈیل گئی۔
“اچھا؟ میری حرکتیں نظر آتی ہیں تمہیں؟ وہ جو تمہارے پیرنٹس کی قاتل ہے، جو مرضی کرے؟”
اس سے پہلے کہ وہ کچھ اور کہتی، رسَل کی سرخ آنکھیں، تنیں ہوئی رگیں اور بند مٹھیوں کو دیکھ کر اُس نے اپنی بات روک لی۔
“اپنی بکواس بند رکھو! وہ کسی کی قاتل نہیں ہے!” وہ گرجا تھا۔
