“وہ …وہ …امی فوت ہو گئی ہیں …”یہ عفیفہ کی کرب میں ڈوبی آواز تھی ،اس کے بعد پھوٹ پھوٹ کر رونے کی آواز آئی – لائبہ ہکا بکا رہ گئی ،اسکی زبان پر گویا تالا لگ گیا اور کچھ بول نہ سکی -ریسور اس کے ہاتھ سے چھوٹ کر نیچے گر گیا تھا -اسکی سوچوں کا رخ تبدیل ہو گیا تھا -وہ سیدھا جاۓ نماز پر گر پڑی ،اور آہستہ سے منمنائی ،آنسو تیزی سے بہہ رہے تھے – “یا اللہ !مجھے معاف کر دینا میں نادان تھی ،عفیفہ کی طرح میری ماں رخصت تو نہیں ہوئی نا،یا اللہ !ماں کا سایہ تو میرے سر ہے نا،چاہے وہ بستر کی ہو کر رہ گئی ہیں مگر ان کی شفقتیں تو میرے ساتھ ہیں ناں ،یا اللہ میں نے ناشکری کی میرا قصور معاف کرنا “اسکے ذہن میں شاہانہ اپی کا جملہ گونجنے لگا “اللہ پاک فرماتا ہے جس کا مفہوم ہے کہ شکر کرو گے تو اور دوں گا ،ناشکری کرو گے تو میرا عذاب بھی سخت ہے “- اسے یقین تھا کہ اس شکر کی بدولت جلد اللہ پاک اپنی رحمت سے اس کی ماں کی معذوری ٹھیک کر دے گا ،کیونکہ وہ اپنے بندوں پر بڑا مہربان ہے – یہی سوچ کر اسکی آنکھوں میں ستارےجھلملانے لگے –
