“کیوں ؟”الہام بھڑک کر بولی۔اسے عکاشہ کا لہجہ بری طرح چبھ رہا تھا۔
“کیوں کیا ،شادی کے بعد ویسے بھی لڑکی وہیں رہتی ہے جہاں اس کا شوہر ہو۔”عکاشہ نے جتلایا۔
“کس شادی کی بات کررہے ہیں ؟وہ مجبوری کے تین قول جن کی آپ کی نگاہ میں کوئی اہمیت نہیں، کیا اس کی بنیاد پر آپ مجھے یہاں سے لے جانے کی بات کررہے ہیں ؟وہاں جاکر میری اہمیت کیا ہوگی ؟ایک ناپسندیدہ بوجھ! یہاں تو کوئی نہیں ہوتا وہاں اپنے سارے خاندان کے سامنے مجھے
بے عزت کیا کریں گے ؟”
“میرا تم سے کوئی واسطہ نہیں جو بولنا ہے جاکر ممی سے کہنا۔”عکاشہ نے
صاف لفظوں میں ہاتھ اٹھاکر کہا۔
“جب واسطہ نہیں تو کوئی حق بھی نہیں پہنچتا آپ کو مجھ پر حکم چلانے کا۔”الہام نے بھی اسی انداز میں جواب دیا۔
“بھاڑ میں جاؤ! “عکاشہ نے چلا کر میز پر رکھے برتن ہاتھ مار کر گرائےاور زوردار لات کرسی پر رسید کرتا سیڑھیاں چڑھ گیا۔
الہام سہم کر کرسی سے اٹھی تھی۔عکاشہ کا لہجہ خطرناک حد تک بپھرا ہوا تھا۔اتنی بلند آواز میں کبھی کسی نے الہام سے بات نہیں کی تھی۔مناف خان نے تو کبھی مذاق میں بھی اسے نہیں ڈانٹا تھا۔وہ ساکت کھڑی فرش پر بکھرے برتنوں کو گھوررہی تھی۔آنسو تیزی سے اس کا چہرہ بھگونے لگے۔
