Her only passion is her lush garden filled with flowers, particularly sunflowers.
However, Assal’s gentle exterior conceals an ancient, otherworldly secret. She hosts the spirit and essence of Zunbara Imperial—the queen of an ancient, prehistoric, and supernatural species of honeybees.
When a notorious predator named Shams-ul-Zaman abducts and chains an innocent girl, Assal transforms into her supernatural entity. She ambushes Shams, suffocating him within an acidic, molten wax produced by her pores. Using the natural bee technique of encapsulation (propolis), she turns the criminal into a permanent, hardened hexagonal wax mummy. After liberating the captive girl, Assal vanishes into the unknown, leaving behind a legendary mystery.

زُنبارا دارصل ایک ایسی مکھی کا نام ہے جو پورے چھتے کی ملکہ ہوتی ہے ، عربی اور پرانی زبانوں کے لغوی مادے کے مطابق، زُنبارا کا مطلب ہے “شہد کی مکھیوں کی وہ قدیم، ماورائی اور شاہی نسل جس پر ملکہ حکمرانی کرتی ہے”۔ یہ لفظ دراصل “زنبور” (مکھی/بھڑ) کی ایک بہت پرانی، دیومالائی اور طاقتور شکل ہے۔
کئی سال پہلے جس ملکہِ نے عسّل کی جان بچائی تھی دارصل وہ اپنے قبیلے کی زُنبارا تھی ، عسّل کے اندر موجود ملکہ مکھی کسی عام دنیاوی نسل کی نہیں تھی، بلکہ وہ “زُنبارا اِمپیریل” نامی ایک انتہائی نایاب، قبل از تاریخ اور ماورائی نسل کی آخری ملکہ تھی جو آج بھی ایک انسانی وجود میں زندہ رہے کر اپنی نسل کی حفاظت کررہی تھی جوکہ کہاں اور کس جگہ قیام پذیر تھی کوئی نہیں جانتا تھا سوائے عسّل کے ۔۔

عسّل (مرکزی کردار):
20-21 سالہ ایک انتہائی نازک، گلابی رنگت، سیاہ آنکھوں اور شہد رنگ بالوں والی معصوم لڑکی۔
بظاہر شدید ڈرپوک، بجلی کی گرج سے ڈرنے والی اور خاموش طبع ہے، لیکن اس کے اندر زُنبارا ملکہ کی ماورائی طاقتیں موجود ہیں۔
اسے پھولوں (خصوصاً سورج مکھی) اور پیلے رنگ سے جنون کی حد تک لگاؤ ہے۔
اسلحان خاتون (نانو):
عسّل کی بوڑھی اور ہمدرد نانی جو سرخ پراسرار حویلی میں عسّل کے ساتھ رہتی ہیں۔
وہ عسّل کی معصومیت، ڈرپوک پن اور مستقبل کے حوالے سے ہر وقت فکر مند رہتی ہیں۔
شمس الزماں:
شہر کا ایک درندہ صفت، ظالم اور بااثر شخص جو بے گناہ لڑکیوں کو قید اور تشدد کا نشانہ بناتا ہے۔
وہ عسّل کے ماورائی انتقام کا نشانہ بنتا ہے اور ایک عبرتناک انجام کو پہنچتا ہے۔
مظلوم لڑکی:

عسّل کا ہائیبرڈ بننا کوئی پیدائشی واقعہ نہیں تھا، بلکہ یہ حیاتِ انسانی اور کیڑے مکوڑوں کی جبلت کا ایک ایسا خوفناک ملاپ تھا جس کی مثال تاریخ میں کہی نہیں ملتی۔ جب ملکہِ مکھی کی روح اس نوزائیدہ بچی کے دل میں اتری تو اس نے بچی کے ڈی این اے کو ہمیشہ کے لیے بدل دیا ۔
عسّل کے جسم کے اندر عام انسانی اعضاء کے ساتھ ساتھ ایک مخفی نظام کام کرتا تھا۔ اس کے پھیپھڑوں کے گرد باریک مومی تھیلیاں تھیں جو زہریلی گیسوں کو فلٹر کرتی تھی جو ضرورت پڑنے پر ایک انتہائی مہلک عصابی زہرا پیدا کرتا جو اُس کے ناخنوں کے ذریعے باہر نکلتا تھا ۔
وہ جب چھوٹی تھی تو اسے سمجھ نہیں آتا تھا کہ اسے پھولوں کا رس چوسنے کی خواہش کیوں ہوتی ہے یا وہ دیواروں پر سیدھی کیسے چل لیتی ہے۔ مگر وقت کے ساتھ اس نے اپنی اس شیطانی اور مافوق الفطرت طاقت کو قابو پانا سیکھ لیا۔
وہ دن کے وقت اپنی دھڑکن کو اتنا سست کر لیتی تھی کہ اس کا پورا وجود برف کی طرح ٹھنڈا پڑ جاتا یہی وجہ تھی کہ وہ دیکھنے میں اتنی معصوم، کمزور اور ڈری سہمی لگتی تھی کہ کوئی اس کے قاتل ہونے کا تصور بھی نہیں کر سکتا تھا۔ مگر اب عسّل بیس اکیس سال کی ایک خوبصورت دوشیزہ بن چکی ہے۔
وہ دنیا کے سامنے ایک نہایت خاموش، بزدل اور معصوم لڑکی ہے جو لوگوں سے دور رہتی ہے مگر کوئی یہ وجہ نہیں جانتا تھا کہ وہ ان کے جھوٹ کی بو اب مزید برداشت نہیں کر سکتی ۔ جہاں وہ ہر ایک کے لیے معصوم پری تھی وہی وہ ظالموں کے لیے ایک شیطان تھی جو رات کے اندھیرے میں شہر کے ظالموں اور درندوں کو اُن کے منتقی انجام تک پہنچاتی تھی ۔۔
