The narrative traces the transformation of two hostile classmates through a series of dramatic events:
College Rivalry and Escalation: Areeka and Hamza are infamous in college for their non-stop feuds. Hamza constantly teases Areeka about her height and appearance, which deeply offends her sense of self-respect. After a series of mutual pranks—including Areeka throwing water on Hamza, Hamza complaining to the principal, and Areeka slapping him—the animosity reaches a boiling point when Hamza locks Areeka in a classroom after hours.
The College Trip Prank: During a class trip to a mountain region, Areeka retaliates by throwing Hamza’s bag (containing his camera and phone) down a cliff. Enraged, Hamza throws Areeka’s purse off the mountain as well.

صوفیہ: “کیا کرتے ہو یار تم دونوں، مسئلہ کیا ہے آخر ایک دوسرے سے؟”
اریکہ: “ارے تجھے دکھتا نہیں وہ میرے نوٹس پھاڑ گیا…… اور الٹا میری ہی شکایت کر آیا پرنسپل سے کہ میں اسے تنگ کرتی ہوں۔”
صوفیہ: “پتا نہیں مجھے سمجھ نہیں آتی تجھے اور حمزہ کو مسئلہ کیا ہے ایک دوسرے سے…… اتنی نفرت اف…… دور رہو نا ایک دوسرے سے یار اگر اتنا ہی مسئلہ ہے تو……”
اریکہ: “دور ہی تو ہوں…… پر جب وہ کوئی کانڈ کرے گا تو میں بھی چھوڑوں گی تو نہیں اسے…… سمجھتا ہی کیا ہے وہ خود کو…… میرا وقت برباد مت کر صوفیہ، ہٹ سامنے سے……” اریکہ صوفیہ کو ایک طرف کرکے تیزی میں کلاس کی جانب گئی۔
“کیا یار حمزہ، اریکہ کی شکایت لگا دی، اس کی تو خیر نہیں اور اس کے بعد تیری بھی……” وجاہت ہنستے ہوئے بولا تھا……
حمزہ: “کیوں وجی، میری کیوں خیر نہیں……؟”
وجاہت: “کیونکہ اریکہ تجھے چھوڑے گی تو نہیں، اپنا بدلہ لے کے رہے گی۔”
حمزہ: “ہاں تو لے لے، روکا کس نے ہے اس چوہیا کو…… اور ویسے بھی اس چوہے سی شکل کی لڑکی سے ڈرتا نہیں ہوں میں، ٹڈی کہیں کی۔”
وجاہت: “ہاں بھائی، ٹڈی تو ہے وہ…لیکن مجھے تو وجاہت بولا کر یہ کیا وجی وجی لگا رکھا ہوتا ہے تو نے۔ لگتا ہے اس ٹڈی کی طرح میرا بھی نام رکھا ہے تو نے…”

کالج کی دشمنی: اریکہ اور حمزہ ایک دوسرے سے شدید نفرت کرتے ہیں۔ حمزہ کا اریکہ کا “ٹڈی” کہہ کر مذاق اڑانا اور اس کی تذلیل کرنا اریکہ کو سخت ناگوار گزرتا ہے کیونکہ وہ اپنے والد کی طرف سے اپنی والدہ کی تذلیل کی وجہ سے پہلے ہی بدتہذیب مردوں سے نفرت کرتی ہے۔ دونوں کے درمیان بدلہ لینے کا ایک نہ ختم ہونے والا سلسلہ جاری رہتا ہے۔
جنگل میں کھو جانا: کالج کی طرف سے سیر کے دوران، اریکہ بدلہ لینے کے لیے حمزہ کا بیگ پہاڑ سے نیچے پھینک دیتی ہے، جس کے جواب میں حمزہ بھی اریکہ کا پرس پھینک دیتا ہے۔ لڑتے لڑتے دونوں راستہ بھٹک کر ایک گھنے جنگل میں نکل جاتے ہیں اور بس ان کے بغیر چلی جاتی ہے۔
احساس اور معافی: جنگل میں رات گزارنے اور خوفناک حالات کا سامنا کرنے کے دوران حمزہ اپنی جیکٹ اریکہ کو دیتا ہے اور گیدڑ کے حملے سے اسے بچاتا ہے۔ صبح دونوں کے درمیان کھل کر بات ہوتی ہے جہاں اریکہ بتاتی ہے کہ کسی کی عزتِ نفس کا مذاق اڑانا کتنا تکلیف دہ ہوتا ہے۔ حمزہ کو اپنی غلطی کا احساس ہوتا ہے اور وہ سچے دل سے معافی مانگتا ہے۔ کہانی اس خوبصورت پیغام پر ختم ہوتی ہے کہ احترام سے نفرت کو بھی ختم کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
