“اماں یہ دیکھیں، بابا چوڑیاں لائے ہیں۔” بچی چوڑیاں ہاتھوں میں تھامتے ہوئے خوشی سے چیخی۔ ماں نے تاسف سے سر ہلایا۔ وہ کتنی ہی مرتبہ اسے یہ سب چیزیں لانے سے منع کر چکی تھی مگر وہ سنے تو تب نا۔
“شکریہ بابا” ننھی سارہ نے باپ کے گلے میں بانہیں ڈالیں۔
“بابا کی جان!” اس نے مسکرا کر بیٹی کے سر کا بوسہ لیا۔
“اماں میرے لیے بابا پستول لائے ہیں۔” فیضان خوشی سے چہکا۔ ہاتھ میں پانی والا پستول پکڑا ہوا تھا۔
“شکریہ بابا جان۔” فیضان نے باپ کے گال پہ پیار کیا۔ اسکول میں استانی نے بتایا تھا جب کوئی تحفہ دے تو اسے شکریہ کہنا چاہیے اور دونوں نے یہ بات ہمیشہ کے لیے یاد رکھ لی تھی۔
“میرا شہزادہ” دانیال نے بلاتامل بیٹے کی پیشانی چومی۔
“چلو بچو جا کر اپنا کام مکمل کرو۔” دانیال کے چہرے پہ تھکاوٹ کے آثار دیکھ کر ثوبیہ نے بچوں کو کمرے میں بھیج دیا اور خود پانی لانے چلی گئی۔
“کتنی بار منع کیا ہے آپ کو کہ یہ سب مت لایا کریں۔۔۔۔” ثوبیہ نے پانی کا گلاس دانیال کے سامنے کرتے ہوئے خفگی جتائی۔ آخر وہ اس کی بات مانتا کیوں نہیں تھا۔
“تمہیں کیا پتہ جب یہ مسکراتے ہیں تو مجھے زندگی مسکراتی محسوس ہوتی ہے۔ جو کماتا ہوں وہ تمہارے اور بچوں کے لیے ہی تو ہے۔ بھلا پیسے لے کر میں نے قبر میں جانا ہے۔” بات مکمل کرنے کے فوراً بعد پانی کا گلاس لبوں سے لگا لیا۔
“کتنی بار کہا ہے مرنے کی باتیں نہ کیا کریں۔” ثوبیہ نے دہل کر اسے ٹوکا۔
یہ تو ہمیشہ سے ہوتا آیا تھا جب بھی ثوبیہ خفا ہونے لگتی دانیال لازمی موت کی کوئی نہ کوئی بات کر دیتا اور وہ غصہ بھول بھال کر رونا شروع کر دیتی۔ ابھی بھی یہی ہوا اور دانیال خالی گلاس ایک طرف رکھ اسے چپ کروانے کی کوشش کرنے لگا۔
