“سلمان کیا ہوا ؟” مناہل اُس کو مسلسل خاموش دیکھ کر پوچھتی۔
“کچھ نہیں ۔ وہ میں تمہارے لیے یہ لے کے آیا تھا ” وہ اپنے ہاتھوں میں پکڑی بریسلٹ اُس کی طرف بڑھاتا ہے ۔
“یہ تو میں نے تمہیں دی تھی .” وہ اُس کی طرف حیرانی سے دیکھتی ۔( یعنی مریم نے یہ تحفہ قبول کرنے سے بھی انکار کر دیا تھا ؟) مناہل سوچتی ۔
“یہ جس کا تھا ۔ اُس تک آگیا اب تم اس کو پہنو نہ پہنو یہ تمہاری مرضی ” وہ اُس کو بیڈ کی سائڈ پر رکھ دیتا۔ مناہل حیرانی سے اُس کو دیکھتی۔
“میں اس کو کیوں پہننے لگی ؟”
“کیونکہ یہ تمہارا تھا ۔ اور اس میں جڑا نام بھی .” سلمان اُس کو دیکھ کر مسکرا دیتا۔ مناہل نہ سمجھتے ہوئے اُس کو دیکھتی۔
“ویسے ماننا پڑے گا ۔ تم اپنی فیلنگز بہت اچھے سے چھپانا جانتی ہو ۔ ” وہ آب اُس کو دیکھ رہا تھا ۔ مناہل کو لگا وہ سانس لینا بھول جاۓ گی ۔
“تم میرے ساتھ تب تھی جب مجھے تمہاری سب سے زیادہ ضرورت تھی ۔ میں نے جب جب تمہیں بلایا تم میرے پاس آگئی ۔ پھر بھی میں تمہاری محبت کو نہ جان پایا.” وہ بول رہا تھا ۔ ہاں وہ سب جان گیا تھا ۔ مناہل کے پاس الفاظ نہیں تھے کہ کیا جواب دیتی۔

“مریم میری جان کیا ہوگیا اس طرح کیوں رو رہی ہو ؟” سارہ کمرے میں آئی تو مریم سجدے میں گڑی رو رہی تھی ۔
“سارہ آپا مجھے معاف کردیں پلیز آپ مجھے معاف کردیں ” وہ روتے ہوئے ہاتھ جوڑتی۔ سارہ کے دل کو کچھ ہوتا ہے ۔
” مریم کیا ہوگیا ہے ۔ اس طرح کیوں بول رہی ” وہ اُس کے ہاتھ تھامتے ہوئے پوچھتی۔
“سارہ آپا مجھے لگ رہا میں مر جاؤں گی ۔ اور ابھی حساب کتاب شروع ہو جائے گا۔ مجھے اللہ سے خوف آرہا آپا ۔ میرے پاس تو ایسا کچھ بھی نہیں جو مجھے جنت میں لے جائے ” رونے کی وجہ سے اس کا سانس پھول چکا تھا ۔
“بس مریم کچھ نہیں ہوگا میری جان اٹھو ” وہ اُس کو گلے لگاتے ہوئے اٹھاتی ہے ۔
“آپ مجھے معاف کردیں پلیز میں نے آپ کو بھی بہت تنگ کیا ہے اس لیے مجھے یہ سزا ملی۔”وہ گلے لگ کے بس روئی جا رہی تھی ۔

“قرآن میں مسلمان کی جگہ مومن کا لفظ زیادہ دیکھنے کو ملتا ہے ۔ کیا ان میں فرق ہے ؟” وہ بہت توجہ کے ساتھ پوچھتی ۔ عفّت اس کے سوال پر مسکرا دیتی ہے ۔
“جی میری جان ۔ ان دونوں میں بہت فرق ہے ۔ مسلمان تو سب ہوتے ہیں مگر مومن کا لفظ خاص طور پہ کیوں آیا ہے ؟” وہ سوال کرتی ہیں ۔
“کیوں؟مومن کون لوگ ہوتے ہیں؟” مریم دلچسپی سے پوچھتے ہوئے اُن کو دیکھتی ۔
“مومن وہ ہوتا ہے جس کا عمل اسلام کی گواہی دے ۔جس کے دل میں یقین ہو کہ اللہ نے جو احکامات مجھے دیئے ہیں اُس میں میرا ہی فائدہ ہے ۔ مسلمان تو سب ہوتے ہیں مریم بات تو تب ہی جب آپ مومن بھی بنو ” عفّت مسکرا کے اس کو دیکھتی ۔
