“تم ہر بار منحوسیت ساتھ لے آتے ہو، دوسری بار پیرس آئے ہو اور دونوں بار بارش!”

امبر، جو پہلے ہی بچی کو لے کر گاڑی میں بیٹھ چکی تھی، آواز لگانے لگی،

“جلدی آؤ، ورنہ سردی لگ جائے گی!”

لیکن بلال نے اچانک بچے کھچے کیک کو زرغام کے چہرے پر دے مارا۔

“لو، اب خوش ہو جاؤ، ہیپی برتھ ڈے!”

زرغام حیران اور غصے میں بولا،

“یہ کیا حرکت ہے؟”

بلال ہنستے ہوئے بولا،

“ارے! تمہارا برتھ ڈے منانے آئے ہیں!”

زرغام نے بھی بدلہ لینے کا فیصلہ کیا۔ قریب کھڑے ایک شخص سے اس کی چھڑی مانگی اور فوراً بلال کے کندھے پر ہلکا سا وار کیا، پھر جوتا اتار کر اس کی طرف اچھال دیا۔

امبر نے فوراً ٹوکا،

“بس کرو، دونوں! پاگل ہو گئے ہو کیا؟”

زرغام رک گیا، مگر اس کے چہرے پر لگا کیک اسے واقعی کسی جوکر جیسا بنا رہا تھا۔ اردگرد کھڑے لوگ اسے دیکھ کر مسکرانے لگے۔

اسی دوران دو چھوٹے بچے پیچھے آتے ہوئے بولے،
