Tragedy Based Novels

The story follows the lives of several interconnected characters, primarily focusing on the emotional turmoil of Zoya and the prideful existence of Shayan. Zoya, a woman who finds solace in her faith, harbors a deep, unrequited love for Shayan, who initially rejects her advances. Their lives are set against a backdrop of family struggles, including the illness of Shayan’s mother, Kulsoom Begum, and the tragic loss of a young girl named Ezel, whose death leaves a profound impact on those around her. The narrative also tracks the lives of other characters like Zarnish, who grapples with the consequences of her past choices, and Lubina, a writer whose life is marked by controversy and harassment. As the plot progresses, the characters face various trials, including legal battles involving Arsal Sheikh and the personal fallout from secret relationships. The manuscript highlights the stark reality of societal judgment, as seen in the experiences of Zarnish, whose marriage to Shahryar ends abruptly following accusations of misconduct. Shayan, meanwhile, struggles with his own internal conflicts and the weight of his past decisions, eventually confronting his feelings for Zoya only after it is too late. The novel maintains a somber tone, emphasizing the themes of regret, the search for truth, and the inevitable consequences of one's path. Through the lens of Duniya ya phir dhoka, the author examines how pride and hidden sins can shape the trajectory of human lives, leading to outcomes that are often both tragic and transformative. The story concludes with the characters facing the aftermath of their choices, leaving them to reconcile with the reality of their situations.
