وہ لیپ ٹاپ بیگ میں ڈالتے ہوئے دوسری طرف سے بات سننے لگی ۔ کچھ دیر بعد وہ بولی ۔
” کیا سنوں ارحم! اب کیا سننا باقی رہ گیا ہے ۔ تین سالوں سے میں آپ کی یہ ‘ پلیز پلیز ‘ سن رہی ہوں ۔ اب بس بھی کر دیں اور مجھے طلاق دے کر آزاد کر دیں اس زبردستی کے رشتے سے ۔ کیوں اپنے ساتھ ساتھ میری بھی زندگی عذاب بنا رکھی ہے آپ نے ۔؟”
وہ مقابل پر غالباً تپی بیٹھی تھی اس لئے جو بھی زبان پر آیا کہتی چلی گئی ۔
” بس اب بہت ہو چکی ۔ بہتر یہی ہے کہ آپ اگلے چند دنوں میں مجھے طلاق کے کاغذات بھجوا دیں ۔ نہیں تو پھر مجبوراً مجھے خلع کا کیس دائر کرنا پڑے گا ۔”
بات کرتے ہوئے وہ پارکنگ لاٹ میں آ گئی تھی اور اب گاڑی میں بیٹھتے ہوئے بغیر اختتامی اور رسمی جملے کہے اس نے فون بند کر دیا اور بےبسی کے عالم میں سر اسٹیرنگ پر گرا دیا ۔
