ناول “قلبِ نور” کی کہانی حیا نور نامی ایک باشعور اور باوقار لڑکی کے گرد گھومتی ہے جو اپنے جذبے اور محنت سے عالمہ کی ڈگری مکمل کرتی ہے۔ کہانی کے پسِ منظر میں ارحم شاہ کے پاس موجود ایک خفیہ رپورٹ کا ذکر ہے جو پاکستان میں اسلامی اقدار کو نقصان پہنچانے والی سازشوں کی نشان دہی کرتی ہے، تاہم بنیادی کہانی حیا نور کی اصلاحی زندگی اور اس کی روحانی سوچ پر مبنی ہے۔
پیپر کے اختتام پر حیا نور اپنے رب سے عہد کرتی ہے کہ وہ اپنی باقی زندگی دینِ اسلام کی تعلیمات پھیلانے اور دلوں کو اللہ سے جوڑنے کے لیے وقف کر دے گی۔ جب وہ گھر لوٹتی ہے تو خاندانی دعوت میں اس کی ممانی اور خالہ زاد بہنیں اس کے شرعی پردے اور نقاب پر تنقید کرتی ہیں۔ حیا نور چیخنے چلمانے یا بدتمیزی کرنے کے بجائے نہایت تمیز، وقار اور جاندار دلائل سے جواب دیتی ہے کہ پردہ اللہ کی آیت ہے اور اس کی عزت کرنا سب پر فرض ہے۔

گارڈز نے وہ بڑا لکڑی کا باکس ارحم شاہ کے سامنے لا کر رکھا۔ جیسے ہی ارحم کے اشارے پر اس باکس کو کھولا گیا، وہاں موجود ہر انسان کا خون جم گیا!
اس پارسل کے اندر ایک نوجوان مسلمان گارڈ کا کٹا ہوا سر موجود تھا! یہ ارحم شاہ کا وہی وفادار گارڈ تھا جو پچھلے کچھ دنوں سے مشن کے سلسلے میں لاپتہ تھا۔
یہ ہولناک منظر دیکھ کر وہاں موجود تمام لوگ، دعوت کے مہمان خوف سے چیخ اٹھے۔ حیا نور نے شدتِ خوف سے اپنی آنکھیں بند کر لیں، اس کا دل حلق میں آ گیا مگر وہ مضبوطی سے کھڑی رہی۔ چاروں طرف ایک کہرام اور دہشت کی لہر دوڑ گئی۔
ارحم شاہ کا چہرہ پل بھر میں پتھر کا ہو گیا۔ اس کی آنکھیں غصے، جلال اور خون کے جیسے سرخ لال ہونے لگیں۔ وہ اپنے اندر کے طوفان کو سمیٹ کر، بہت ہمت کر کے اس کٹے ہوئے سر کے پاس گھٹنوں کے بل بیٹھا۔ اس کے ہاتھ ہلکے سے کانپے، مگر اس نے آگے بڑھ کر اس نوجوان شہید کے خون آلود ماتھے پر اپنے لب رکھ دیے اور اس کا ماتھا چوما۔
“اس کا باقی جسم کہاں ہے؟” ارحم شاہ نے بہت دھیمے، مگر حد درجہ کرب اور درد سے بھرپور لہجے میں سوال کیا۔ وہ کس قدر تکلیف میں تھا، یہ صرف اس کا رب جانتا تھا۔ اس کے لہجے کی اس کاٹ اور درد نے وہاں کھڑے ہر انسان کی روح کو ہلا کر رکھ دیا۔
“سر۔۔۔ جسم کا کچھ پتہ نہیں چلا، انہوں نے صرف یہ سر گیٹ پر پھینکا ہے۔” گارڈ نے سر جھکا کر نم آنکھوں سے جواب دیا۔
ارحم شاہ چند سیکنڈ کے لیے آنکھیں بند کر کے بیٹھا رہا، پھر وہ اپنی پوری ہیبت کے ساتھ اٹھ کھڑا ہوا۔ اس کا جلال اس وقت دیکھنے والا تھا۔ اس نے اپنے گارڈز کی طرف دیکھا اور گرجدار مگر رندھی ہوئی آواز میں حکم دیا:
“نمازِ جنازہ کی تیاری کرو! اس کا جنازہ میں خود پڑھاؤں گا۔جاؤ، اس کی بوڑھی دادی کو عزت کے ساتھ یہاں لے کر آؤ۔ انہیں مت بتانا کی ان کا پوتا شہید ہو گیا ہے!”اس دردناک صورتحال نے ارحم شاہ کے گھر کی فضا کو سوگوار کر دیا تھا۔ شازیہ باجی اور حیا نور کے قدم وہیں جم گئے تھے.
اریز وہ اپنی بوڑھی دادی کی اکلوتی اولاد کا اکلوتا بیٹا تھا۔ برسوں پہلے اریز کے ماں باپ ایک خاندانی دعوت پر جا رہے تھے اور ننھے اریز کو اس کی دادی کے پاس چھوڑ گئے تھے،
مگر راستے میں ایک ہولناک حادثے کی وجہ سے دونوں میاں بیوی جاں بحق ہو گئے۔ اس دن کے بعد سے دادی کی زندگی میں اریز کے علاوہ اور کوئی بھی نہیں تھا۔ انہوں نے بڑی مشکلوں اور لاڈ پیار سے، اکیلے ہی اریز کو پال پوس کر جوان کیا تھا اور اسے ارحم شاہ کی سکیورٹی میں بھیجا تھا، جہاں وہ ایک وفادار گارڈ بن کر کام کر رہا تھا۔
