“ماما۔۔ماماما”۔ رات کے دو بجے چوھدری پیلس سے ایک چینخ گونجی سارے نوکر اٹھ گئے تھے ۔۔۔”اس کلموہی کو پھر دورا پڑ گیا ہے “۔شمیم غصے سے اٹھ کر اس لڑکی کی طرف گی اور بالوں سے پکڑ کر بولی۔”نہ یہ منحوس خود سوتی ہے اور نہ ہی ہمیں سونے دیتی ہے ” ۔۔۔۔
“ارے شمیم تم کیوں اس کی پیچھے اپنی نیند خراب کرتی ہو دفعہ کرو اس کو ۔”ہاں کہ تو تم ٹھیک رہی ہو نازش” پھر وہ اس کو بالوں سے پکڑ کر سرونٹ کوارٹرز سے باہر نکال دیا ۔اور وہ معصوم امریکہ کی سرد رات میں کانپتی رہی۔
لیکن وہ شور نہیں مچا رہی تھی کیونکہ اس کو معلوم تھا کہ یہاں اس کی کون سننے والا تھا ۔اس لیے ساری رات ایسے ہی گزار دی تھی ۔۔۔اج اماں بی کے نا ہونے کی وجہ سے اس کو وہاں سونا پڑا تھا ۔۔۔ورنہ تو وہ بچاری سٹور روم میں رہتی تھی ۔۔۔اور اس کی رات اللہ کو یاد کرنے میں گزرتی تھی
لیکن آج اماں بی کے نا ہونے کی وجہ سے اس کو سب ملازم کے ساتھ سونا پڑا ۔۔۔۔

“آن “”۔میں کالج نہیں جاؤں گی میں بتا رہی ہوں اور اگر آپ نے مجھے زبردستی بھیجا نہ تو بھائی کو بتاؤں گی ۔”وہ اس کو اپنے بھائی کی دھمکی دے رہی تھی ۔۔۔۔
“تو ٹھیک ہے پھر میں دوسری شادی کرلیتا ہوں ۔کیونکہ تم تو جاتی نہیں ہو پڑھنے ۔اور مجھے تو پڑھی لکھی بیوی چاہیے۔ ” اس نے دوسری شادی کی دھمکی دی کیونکہ جانتا تھا نہ کہ اس کی بیوی ایسے اس کی بات مانے گی نہیں ۔اس لیے اس کی کمزوری پر وار کیا۔۔۔جو اثر کر گیا تھا ۔۔۔۔
“آن ن ن ن ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ میں آپ کو چھوڑوں گی نہیں اگر آپ نے دوسری شادی کا سوچا بھی تو۔”۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔
“ٹھیک ہے پھر ایک ڈیل کرتے ہیں تم پڑھائی کرو دل لگا کر اور میں دوسری شادی نہیں کروں گا اور ہاں ٹاپ بھی کرو گی تب ۔کیونکہ تم جو سوچ رہی ہو نا وہ میں ہونے نہیں دوں گا “۔”سمجھ آئ میری بات ۔”۔ یہ کہ کر وہ چلا گیا پیچھے سے وہ یہ سوچ رہی تھی ۔۔
“ہیں ان کو کیسے پتا چلا کہ میں کیا سوچ رہی ہوں ۔خیر ایسے ہی کہ رہے ہوں گے ۔میں یونیورسٹی تو جاؤں گی اور وہاں جا کر دوستیں بناؤں گی اور موج مستی کروں گی ان کو کون بتائے گا ۔اور پڑھائی تو بلکل بھی نہیں کروں گی ۔۔۔ ”یہ تھی ہماری معصوم سی زمل ۔۔۔جن کا کام تھا عشق کرنا اپنے شوہر سے ۔۔۔جس کا موڈ ہوتا تو بات کرتے ورنہ دیکھتے بھی نہیں تھے ۔۔
