فیاض نے تھیلی گلے میں ڈالی اور دونوں نے مسافروں کو سوار کیا۔ گاؤں کے شور شرابے کے بیچ بس نکل پڑی۔ راستے بھر ہنسی مذاق اور ہلچل رہی۔ عورتیں مرغیوں کے پنجے سنبھالے بیٹھی تھیں، بچے کھڑکیوں سے باہر ہاتھ ہلا رہے تھے اور مزدور اونگھتے جا رہے تھے۔ شاہد کے لیے یہی زندگی تھی اور یہی زندگی کا ڈھنگ تھا ۔
