ہر انسان مقرنین ہے۔ ہر انسان جکڑا ہوا ہے۔ اپنی خواہشات میں، اپنے گناہوں میں، کسی محبت میں اور انسانوں میں۔ یہ تمام قیود انسان سے اس کی فطری آزادی چھین لیتی ہے۔ یہ خوف، یہ حسرت، یہ طمع، یہ انسانی بتوں کا ڈر۔۔۔یہ اس خاکی کو ذلت سے دو چار کر دیتی ہے۔
یہ قید کا، بندھے ہونے کا ایک رخ ہے۔ اور اس کا دوسرا رخ یہ ہے کہ قید ایک انسان کے لیے ضروری ہے۔ یہ حد قائم کرتی ہے۔ یہ آپ کو محدود کر دیتی ہے۔ اور کونسی قید ہے جو ہر حد کی ایسی لکیر کھینچتی ہے کہ انسان آزاد ہو جاتا ہے؟ کونسی قید ہے جوانسان کے لیے نجات ہے؟

انسان کی پہلی کہانی ہمیشہ اس کے لا شعور سے ابھرتی، لہراتی اور فضا میں سفر کرتی کسی کے کانوں تک رسائی پاتی ہے۔ میرے ساتھ بھی کچھ یہی معاملہ ہوا تھا۔ میرے پہلے ناول کا خاکہ ساتویں میں زبانی تعمیر ہوا تھا۔ الفاظ کاغذ پہ آٹھویں میں اترے لیکن حاضر خدمت اٹھارہ سال کی عمر میں ہے۔ اور اٹھارہ سالہ اس لڑکی کا نام ایمان عبداللہ ہے۔
میری ناقص رائے کے مطابق اپنے فطری ہنر کو اپنانا اور اس کو بہتر کرنا انسان کا مقصد ہونا چاہیے اور یہی میں کر رہی ہوں اور انشاء اللہ آگے بھی کروں گی۔

اقرار کر لو، شاید وہ تمہیں مل جائے۔ سوار نے ڈرائیور سے کہا۔ وہ خاموش رہا۔کیا یہ بتانا ضروری تھا کہ خاموشی ہی تو اقرار تھا۔ سوار نے اس خاموشی پہ گہری سانس بھری اور نظریں پھر سے سڑک پہ جمادی۔
وہ دونوں لوہے کے بنے ڈبے میں مقید تھے۔ انجن کی چنگھاڑتی آواز اور تڑ تڑ گرتی ترچھے رخ کی بارش ٹرک کی کھڑی سے باہر بے فکری کے انداز میں نکلے اس کے دائیں ہاتھ پہ پڑ رہی تھی۔ بادل آج بے حد غمگین تھے اور اپنا غم ہلکا کرنے کی بھرپور کوشش کر رہے تھے۔
رات کوئلے کی طرح سیاہ اور میلی تھی اور یہ اب اس انسان زاد پہ منحصر تھا کہ وہ کوئلے سے ہاتھ میلے کرتا یا اپنا دامن بچا لیتا۔ سیاہ رات کی تاریکی کو دور کرنے کے لیے کھبموں پہ لگی سفید بتیاں اور ٹرک کی گول آنکھوں سے نکلتی پیلی روشنی تعاون کر رہے تھے اور وہ اس میں کامیاب بھی تھے۔
تارکول کی سیاہ شاہراہ کے دونوں اطراف میں اونچے لمبے پیڑ تھے اور ان کی شاخوں سے لپٹے پتے سردی میں ٹھٹھر رہے تھے۔تڑ تڑ گرتی بارش میں اس کے ساتھ بیٹھے فرد کی گنکناہٹ ماحول کی سنسنی کو کم کر رہی تھی۔اس نے ایک ملامتی نظر سوار پہ ڈالی اور اپنے بھاری بوٹوں کا وزن ایکسیلریٹر پہ بڑھایا سرمئی تارکول کے ساتھ رگڑ کھاتے ٹرک کے ٹائر کی چنگھاڑتی آواز میں وہ کچھ بولا۔
ہمم؟ سوار نے کان لگائے تا کہ الفاظ کا مفہوم واضح ہو۔
