کہانی کا آغاز ایک پرسکون، عام سی صبح سے ہوتا ہے۔ ایک سادہ اور پاکیزہ ماحول والے گھر میں جہاں رزقِ حلال کی خوشبو اور دعاؤں کی حرارت قائم ہے، سترہ سالہ دُرِ مکنون خواب خرگوش کے مزے لے رہی ہے۔ فجر کی اذان کے بعد اس کی والدہ مریم اسے بیدار کرتی ہیں۔ دُرِ مکنون ایک ایسی لڑکی ہے جو بات بات پر مسکراتی ہے اور ہر سنجیدہ بات کو ہنسی میں اڑا دیتی ہے۔ وہ نماز تو پڑھتی ہے مگر ابھی اس کے دل میں وہ یکسوئی اور سجدوں کا سکون پوری طرح پیدا نہیں ہوا جو آنے والے وقت میں اس کی کائنات بننے والا ہے۔

“کہیں غلطی نہ ہو جائے۔”
شانزے میم چند لمحے خاموش رہیں۔ پھر بولیں:
“دُر… تمہیں یاد ہے جب تم قومی پروگرام میں منتخب نہیں ہوئی تھیں؟”
“جی…”
“اس وقت بھی تمہیں لگا تھا کہ سب ختم ہوگیا ہے۔”
دُر نے آہستہ سے سر ہلایا۔
“مگر آج دیکھو… اللہ نے اسی واقعے سے تمہیں کتنا بدل دیا۔”
وہ مسکرائیں۔
“کبھی کبھی انسان جس چیز سے ڈرتا ہے… اسی میں اللہ اس کی اگلی منزل رکھ دیتا ہے۔”
یہ جملہ سن کر دُر خاموش ہوگئی۔
شام کو گھر پہنچ کر بھی وہ یہی سوچتی رہی۔ کیا واقعی اسے تقریری مقابلے میں حصہ لینا چاہیے؟
دل کہتا…
“نہیں، تم نہیں کر پاؤ گی۔”
مگر کہیں اندر سے ایک اور آواز آتی…
“اگر اللہ نے موقع دیا ہے تو کوشش کیوں نہ کرو؟”
اس نے جائے نماز بچھائی۔ دو رکعت نفل ادا کیے۔ اور دعا کی:
“یا اللہ… اگر یہ راستہ میرے لیے بہتر ہے… تو میرے دل سے یہ خوف نکال دے۔ اور اگر میں اس قابل نہیں… تو مجھے بہتر راستہ دکھا دے۔”
نماز کے بعد وہ حیران تھی۔ فیصلہ تو ابھی بھی نہیں ہوا تھا… لیکن دل پہلے سے زیادہ پُرسکون ضرور تھا۔
اگلے دن وہ کالج پہنچی۔ شانزے میم ابھی کلاس میں نہیں آئی تھیں۔ دُر سیدھا ان کی میز کے پاس گئی۔ ایک کاغذ اٹھایا… قلم ہاتھ میں لیا… اور خاموشی سے اپنا نام لکھ دیا۔
“دُرِ مکنون”
نام لکھتے ہوئے اس کے ہاتھ ہلکے سے کانپ رہے تھے۔
مگر اس بار… اس نے خوف کے باوجود قدم اٹھایا تھا۔
کیونکہ اب وہ یہ سیکھ چکی تھی…
ہمت کا مطلب ڈر کا ختم ہو جانا نہیں…
بلکہ ڈر کے باوجود صحیح قدم اٹھا لینا ہے۔
دُرِ مکنون نے اپنا نام لکھ تو دیا تھا… لیکن جیسے ہی اس نے قلم میز پر رکھا، اس کے دل کی دھڑکن تیز ہوگئی۔ اس نے خود سے آہستہ سے کہا، “یا اللہ… اب یہ قدم میں نے تیرے بھروسے پر اٹھایا ہے۔”
