افسانہ “جین زی” جدید نسل کی نمائندگی کرتا ہے—ایک ایسی نسل جسے دنیا دیکھتی تو ہے مگر سمجھتی نہیں؛ جسے جج تو کیا جاتا ہے مگر سنتا کوئی نہیں۔ یہ کہانی 19 سالہ فری لانس ڈیزائنر ضامر اور 22 سالہ ناول نگار آزفہ کے گرد گھومتی ہے۔
ایک طرف ضامر فری لانسنگ، روزانہ کی ریجیکشنز (ریجیکشنز)، راتوں کی بے خوابی، نیند کی گولیوں اور والدین کی مسلسل تنقید و طعنوں کی وجہ سے اندر سے ٹوٹ چکا ہے۔ دوسری طرف آزفہ اپنے مستقبل کے فیصلے، شادی کے خوف اور رشتوں کے ڈراؤنے خوابوں کی وجہ سے ذہنی تذبذب کا شکار ہے۔ کہانی ان دونوں کو ایک ایسے نقطے پر لاتی ہے جہاں ایک یونیورسٹی پروفیسر کی نصیحت اور قرآنی آیات ان کے اندر کے بوجھ کو ہلکا کرتی ہیں اور انہیں یہ احساس دلاتی ہیں کہ دنیاوی دوڑ میں وہ اپنے رب کو بھول گئے تھے۔ یہ افسانہ آج کے نوجوانوں کے لیے ایک آئینہ اور سکون کی راہ ہے۔

“لوگ اکثر پوری نسل کو چند مثالوں سے جانچتے ہیں۔ اگر ایک نوجوان غیر ذمہ دار ہے تو اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ پوری نسل غیر ذمہ دار ہے”اب انہوں نے ایک آخری گھونٹ بھرا اور بوتل کا ڈھکن بند کر دیا۔
“لیکن کیا کبھی آپ لوگوں نے یہ جاننے کی کوشش کی ہے کہ ہم اتنے خاموش کیوں ہیں؟” اس جملے پر ہر ایک نے مڑ کر ضامر کو دیکھا۔
“مطلب؟”پروفیسر نے سوالیہ نظروں سے اسے دیکھا۔
“ہر کوئی جاننا چاہتا ہے کہ جین زی کیا دیکھتی ہے، کیا پہنتی ہے،کیسے بات کرتی ہے،کس چیز سے ڈرتی ہے۔ مگر کوئی یہ نہیں جاننا چاہتا کہ ہم اپنے دلوں میں کیا اٹھائے پھرتے ہیں۔ لوگ کہتے ہیں ہم موبائل بہت استعمال کرتے ہیں لیکن کوئی یہ نہیں دیکھتا کہ ہم اس موبائل پر اپنا رزق ڈھونڈتے ہیں، اپنے خواب بناتے ہیں۔ لوگ کہتے ہیں ہم ضدی ہیں لیکن کوئی یہ نہیں دیکھتا کہ ہم اپنی عزت نفس ،اپنے خوابوں اور اپنی شناخت کو بچانے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ ہم تھک جاتے ہیں…..
حد سے زیادہ۔ ہر روز کامیاب لوگوں کو دیکھتے ہیں۔اپنے خوابوں کے پیچھے بھاگتے ہیں، دوسروں کی توقعات پوری کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں اور پھر بھی ہمیں سننے کی بجائے جج کیا جاتا ہے”اس وقت ہر ایک ضامر کی طرف متوجہ تھا۔ یقیناً ان سب کا بھی یہی حال تھا۔ ضامر کے چہرے پر ڈھیروں تھکن تھی۔
“تاریخ شاید جین زی کو سب سے مضبوط نسل لکھے مگر تاریخ یہ کبھی نہیں جان پائے گی کہ اس مضبوطی کی قیمت کتنی تنہائی تھی۔ لوگ ہمیں مستقبل کہتے ہیں مگر کوئی یہ نہیں پوچھتا کہ مستقبل کا بوجھ اٹھاتے اٹھاتے ہم کتنا تھک گئے ہیں۔ ہم تھک چکے ہیں۔ اپنے خواب پورے کرتے کرتے، اپنے سے کامیاب لوگوں کو دیکھتے دیکھتے۔
ہم اس قدر تنہا ہو چکے ہیں کہ رات کو جب ہم شدید ڈپریسڈ ہوتے ہیں تو کوئی ہمارے پاس ہمیں دلاسہ دینے کے لیے بھی نہیں ہوتا۔ ہمارے پاس ہزار دوست ہوں گے’ ہزار فالوورز ہوں گے’ ہزار وقت دینے والے لوگ ہوں گے’ لیکن اس وقت ہمیں ان میں سے ایک بھی شخص ایسا نہیں ملے گا جسے ہم اپنے دل کا حال سنا سکیں” اس کا لہجہ زخمی تھا…… بہت ٹوٹا ہوا سا…… تھکن سے بھرپور۔
