“تیسرا کمرہ: ضمیر” ایک نفسیاتی اور مافوق الفطرت (Supernatural) افسانہ ہے جو گناہ اور پچھتاوے کے گرد گھومتا ہے۔ یہ کہانی مذہب سلطان نامی ایک ایسے شخص کی ہے جو اپنے دوست کو دھوکہ دے کر دنیا سے کٹ جانا چاہتا ہے، مگر قدرت اسے اس کے اپنے ہی ضمیر کی عدالت میں لا کھڑا کرتی ہے۔ مصنفہ نے بہت مہارت سے یہ دکھایا ہے کہ انسان مادی دیواروں سے تو چھپ سکتا ہے، لیکن اپنے اندر کے “تیسرے کمرے” یعنی ضمیر کی قید سے کبھی فرار حاصل نہیں کر سکتا۔ یہ افسانہ سسپنس، خوف اور سبق آموز انجام کا ایک بہترین امتزاج ہے۔
کہانی کا آغاز ایک پرسرار مکان نمبر 42 سے ہوتا ہے، جسے “مذہب سلطان” نامی شخص خریدتا ہے۔ مذہب سلطان ایک ایسا انسان ہے جو دنیا کی نظروں سے اوجھل ہو کر سکون تلاش کرنا چاہتا ہے۔ مکان خریدتے وقت اس کی اولین شرط یہ تھی کہ گھر میں صرف دو ہی کمرے ہوں، کیونکہ وہ کسی تیسری مداخلت یا یاد سے بچنا چاہتا تھا۔ پراپرٹی ڈیلر اسے یقین دلاتا ہے کہ وہاں صرف دو ہی کمرے ہیں۔
کرداروں کا تعارف:
مذہب سلطان: کہانی کا مرکزی کردار، ایک دھوکہ باز کاروباری شخص جس نے اپنے قریبی دوست کامل سید کو کاروبار میں دغا دیا اور اسے خودکشی پر مجبور کر دیا۔ وہ اپنی جائیداد اور دولت کے نشے میں چور تھا مگر اندر سے خوفزدہ تھا۔
کامل سید: مذہب سلطان کا مرحوم دوست، جو ایک سائے یا ضمیر کی آواز بن کر نمودار ہوتا ہے۔ اس کا کردار عدل اور سوال کا استعارہ ہے۔

مذہب کا جسم سن تھا۔ اس نے بمشکل ہی ہونٹ ہلائے۔ مممیرا گگگھر۔۔ وہ تیسرا کمرہ۔ ڈاکٹر نے نرم لہجے میں کہا، تمارا کوئی گھر نہیں مذہب صاحب۔ ایکسیڈنٹ سے پہلے ہی بینک نے سب کچھ نیلام کر دیا تھا تم پچھلے چھ مہینے سے اس بیڈ پر ہو۔
مذہب نے سکون کا سانس لیا صدشکر وہ خواب تھا۔ مذہب سوچتا ہے کہتا کچھ نہیں۔ تبھی نرس نے اس کے ہاتھ میں پکڑی چیز نکالنے کی کوشش کی۔ مذہب کی مٹھی سختی سے بند تھیں۔جب نرس نے زبردستی انگلیاں کھولیں تو وہ چیخ کر پیچھے ہٹ گیا۔
مذہب کی ہتھیلی پر وہی زنگ آلود کنڈا رکھا ہوا تھا اور اس کے کانوں میں وہی آواز آئی ” میں نے کہا تھا ناں مذہب یہاں سے باہر جانے کا کوئی راستہ نہیں۔
مذہب کی آنکھیں پھٹی کی پھٹی رہ گئں۔ مشین کی لکیر سیدھی ہوگئ۔ اور مذہب سلطان اگلی سانس نہ لے سکا۔
