“قبولیت” امِ فروا کا ایک شاہکار سلسلے وار ناول ہے جو انسان کے اندرونی کرب، خوابوں اور قسمت سے جنگ کی کہانی بیان کرتا ہے۔ کہانی کی شروعات ہی ایک گہرے فلسفے سے ہوتی ہے کہ “قبولیت وہ خاموش دعا ہے جو دل کے ٹوٹ جانے کے بعد نکلتی ہے”۔ ناول بنیادی طور پر دو مختلف دنیاؤں کے گرد گھومتا ہے۔ ایک طرف اسلام آباد کی ایک پرشکوہ، شیشے کے محل جیسی حویلی ہے جہاں ایک پراسرار شخص اپنی ماضی کی یادوں اور ایک پورٹریٹ کے سامنے ٹوٹ کر بکھر رہا ہے، اور بیجنگ کے کاروباری افق پر چمکتا ہوا مرسلین عبد الواحید ہے۔

“ابو، مجھے کالج میں داخلہ لینا ہے۔ میں نے میٹرک میں ٹاپ کیا ہے۔ میرے بہت سے خواب ہیں۔ میں آگے پڑھنا چاہتی ہوں۔ پلیز، میرے ساتھ ایسا مت کریں۔”
عالمگیر نے سخت لہجے میں دو ٹوک انداز سے جواب دیا،
“آناک، تم نے میٹرک کر لیا ہے نا؟ بس، یہی کافی ہے۔ ہم نے تم سے کون سی نوکری کروانی ہے؟”
آناک ایک بار پھر اپنے والد کے قریب آ کر آہستہ سے بولی،
“ابو… پلیز۔”
عالمگیر نے سرد نظروں سے اس کی طرف دیکھا، چند لمحے خاموش رہے پھر بغیر کچھ کہے ڈائننگ روم سے اٹھ کر چلے گئے۔
آناک نے امید بھری نظروں سے اپنے بھائی کی طرف دیکھا۔
“پلیز علی بھائی، آپ ابو سے بات کریں نا۔”
اس کے بھائی نے سنجیدہ لہجے میں کہا،
“آناک، زیادہ پڑھنے سے لڑکیوں کے دماغ خراب ہو جاتے ہیں۔ ہمارے یہاں لڑکیاں اتنا نہیں پڑھتیں۔ ابو نے تمہیں میٹرک کرنے کی اجازت دی، تمہارے لیے یہی کافی ہونا چاہیے تھا۔ تمہاری وجہ سے آج ابو ناشتہ کیے بغیر چلے گئے ہیں۔ پورا ایک مہینہ ہو گیا ہے، اب تمہاری یہ ضد ختم ہو جانی چاہیے۔”
آناک کے چہرے پر مایوسی اتر آئی، لیکن دل کے اندر ایک ضد اب بھی زندہ تھی۔
“میں اپنے خواب نہیں چھوڑوں گی۔”
اسی دوران علی نے معمول کے انداز میں کہا،
“آج میرے کچھ دوست آ رہے ہیں، شام کو اچھا سا کھانا بنا دیجیے گا۔”
یہ کہہ کر وہ بھی وہاں سے چلا گیا۔
کمرے میں خاموشی چھا گئی۔ اب صرف آناک اور اس کی ماں عالیہ رہ گئی تھیں۔
آناک نے اپنی آنکھوں میں تیرتی نمی جلدی سے صاف کی اور دھیرے سے بولی،
“امی، کیا آپ سب کو میرا دکھ نظر نہیں آتا؟ میرے بہت بڑے خواب ہیں… بہت بڑے۔ ان کے بغیر تو جیسے میں سانس بھی نہیں لے پاؤں گی۔ ایک بار مجھ پر یقین تو کریں۔ میں کچھ بن سکتی ہوں، کچھ کر سکتی ہوں۔”
