“دشمن کہاں ہیں…؟ دشمن تو تم دونوں ہو۔”
کبیر اور بہادر دونوں چونک گئے۔
بہادر خان غصے سے حذیفہ خان کو دیکھ کر کہتا ہے…
“حذیفہ! تم…؟ تم یہاں کیا کر رہے ہو؟”
حذیفہ طنزیہ مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ بولا میں یہاں انصاف کرنے آیا ہوں… آج کی رات فیصلہ کن اور انصاف کی رات ہے۔
اچانک حذیفہ نے بندوق اٹھائی اور فائر کیا۔ گولی سیدھی کبیر کے بازو کو چھید گئی۔ کبیر کراہ اٹھا اور زمین پر گر پڑا۔
بہادر نے بھی اپنی بندوق نکالی اور فوراً جواب دیا۔ گولی قریب سے گزری مگر حذیفہ بچ گیا۔
کبیر نے زخمی ہاتھ سے پستول اٹھا کر اندھیرے میں حذیفہ پر فائر کیا۔ گولی سیدھی حذیفہ کی ٹانگ میں لگی اور وہ زمین پر گر پڑا، مگر اس کی آنکھوں میں انتقام کی آگ اب بھی بھڑک رہی تھی۔
کبیر غصے اور زخمی لہجے میں حذیفہ سے کہتا ہے۔۔۔
“تم ہمیں دھوکا دے رہے ہو… اپنے ہی دوست کو مارو گے؟”
حذیفہ (ہنستے ہوئے)دھوکا؟ دھوکا تو تم نے دیا ہے! اور آج اس کا حساب ہوگا۔
بہادر خان نے آگے بڑھ کر حذیفہ پر حملہ کیا۔ دونوں میں ہاتھا پائی شروع ہوگئی۔
کبیر نے گن اٹھائی، مگر جیسے ہی اس نے نشانہ لیا، حذیفہ نے جھپٹ کر اسے دھکیل دیا۔ گن ہاتھ سے چھوٹ گئی۔
زخمی ہونے کے باوجود حذیفہ نے پوری طاقت سے ہتھیار دوبارہ اٹھایا۔ اندھیرے میں فائر کی آواز گونجی۔
پہلی گولی کبیر کے سینے میں لگی۔ وہ چیخ کر زمین پر گر گیا، اس کی سانسیں رکتی چلی گئیں۔
بہادر خان نے غصے اور درد میں للکار کر حذیفہ پر جھپٹا، مگر حذیفہ نے دوسرا فائر کیا۔
گولی سیدھی بہادر خان کے دل کو چیر گئی۔ وہ کچھ لمحے تڑپتا رہا اور پھر موت کی نیند سو گیا۔۔
اب جنگل میں پھر سنّاٹا چھا گیا۔ زمین پر کبیر اور بہادر کے لاشے پڑی تھیں۔ چاند بادلوں سے نکل کر ان پر ہلکی روشنی ڈال رہا تھا۔
حذیفہ ہانپتا ہوا، خون آلود کپڑوں اور زخمی ٹانگ کے ساتھ گھٹنوں کے بل بیٹھ گیا۔ اس نے سر اٹھا کر آسمان کی طرف دیکھا اور کچھ دیر بعد وہ وہاں سے چلا گیا۔۔۔
