“یہ۔۔۔ مر چکی ہے۔”کسی اجنبی نے کہا۔
“نہیں!” اسکی کی آواز میں وہی جنون تھا جو پہاڑوں کو چیر سکتا ہے۔
“نہیں۔۔۔ یہ مری نہیں ہے! یہ بالکل مر نہیں سکتی! اُسے کچھ نہیں ہو سکتا!”
وہ چلّایا، تڑپتے دل کے ساتھ۔
“ڈیم اِٹ، کال دی ایمبولینس”اُس کی آواز رندھ گئی تھی، لیکن چیخ کی شدت کم نہ ہوئی۔ وہ زخمی شیر کی طرح دھاڑ رہا تھا۔لوگ اُس نوجوان کو ہمدردی بھری نظروں سے دیکھ رہے تھے۔ اُن کے چہروں پر lاُداسی کی لکیر صاف جھلک رہی تھی، لیکن وہ سب بس تماشائی بنے کھڑے تھے۔
“میں۔۔۔ میں خود اُسے ہاسپٹل لے جاؤں گا۔۔۔۔کچھ نہیں ہوگا اُسے۔۔۔ میں
اُسے کچھ ہونے نہیں دوں گا!”وہ اُسے اپنی بانہوں میں اُٹھا چکا تھا
