میری تیسری ناول ہے… اور میں یہ بیان نہیں کر سکتی کہ اسے لکھتے ہوئے میرا ایک ایک دن کس قدر خوبصورت گزرا۔ اس کے اندر لکھے گئے جذبات اور باتیں میرے دل کے اتنے قریب ہیں کہ میں انہیں الفاظ میں بیان کرنے سے قاصر ہوں۔
اس کہانی میں میرا ہر کردار کسی نہ کسی تکلیف سے گزرا ہے ہر دل نے اپنے انداز میں صدمے میں سانس لی، زخموں سے سیکھا اور جینے کا نیا انداز اپنایا۔
یہ کہانی کبھی ہلکی پھلکی مسکان دے دیتی ہے اور کبھی دل کو چیر دیتی ہے سادہ لمحات میں بھی گہرے زخم چھپے ہوتے ہیں۔
میرے الفاظ میں بہت سی پرتیں موجود ہیں انسیکیورٹیز انتقام، محبت، معافی اور نفسِ انسانی کی پیچیدگیاں۔

آدم رئیس کی آنکھیں نیم وا تھیں اس کے ہاتھ ڈھیلے پڑ چکے تھے۔ گولیوں کے زخم اسے لہو میں نہلا چکے تھے، مگر اصل زخم جسم پر نہیں… دل کے اندر لگ رہا تھا۔
کیوں کوئی اس کے ساتھ آخر تک وفا نہ نبھا سکا؟
وہ جس پر اپنی جان تک وار دیتا وہی خنجر لے کر سامنے آ جاتا۔
گولیوں کی جلن، خون کا بہاؤ… سب اس دھوکے کے سامنے معمولی لگ رہا تھا۔ اس وقت آدم رئیس کے لیے سب سے بڑی اذیت یہ نہ تھی کہ وہ مرنے کے قریب ہے… بلکہ یہ تھی کہ اس کا سب سے وفادار ساتھی، اس کا سایہ، آج اس کے خلاف کھڑا تھا۔
“یہی انجام ہے اُن کا جو سب پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں… حتیٰ کہ مجھ پر بھی۔”
اس کے الفاظ سیدھا رئیس کے دل کو چیرتے چلے گئے۔ قاصِر تھوڑا اور جھکا لبوں پر وہی زہر خند مسکراہٹ کھیل رہی تھی۔
“سلیم… یاد ہے تمہیں؟ میرا بھائی تھا وہ… تمہاری گولیوں کا شکار۔ جانتے ہو اُس کے ساتھ تم نے کیا کیا تھا؟ نہیں… تمہیں کہاں یاد ہوگا۔ آدم رئیس کے لیے خون بس ایک کھیل تھا۔ تم قتل کرتے، لاش گراتے…
اور اگلے ہی لمحے سب بھول جاتے۔ لیکن میں… میں نہیں بھولا۔ اور میں نے قسم کھائی تھی… اُس کے قاتل کو قاصِر کبھی معاف نہیں کرے گا۔”
یہ الفاظ آدم رئیس کے کانوں میں خنجر کی طرح گھس گئے۔ اس کی دھندلی آنکھیں قاصِر پر جمی تھیں۔ گولیوں کے زخموں کی جلن، بدن کا لہو… سب کچھ پیچھے ہٹ گیا۔
قاصِر مزید قریب جھکا، جیسے اس کی روح نچوڑ رہا ہو۔ “اور ہاں، آدم… ضامن پر اعتبار تمہارا صحیح تھا۔ مگر افسوس… تم نے اعتبار غلط انسان پر کیا۔ وفاداری کے قابل ساتھیوں کو چھوڑ کر… تم نے بھروسہ مجھ جیسے سانپ پر کر لیا؟”
