“کیوں؟ لندن والوں کو اپنی تعریف کروانے کا شوق ہوتا ہے؟”
اس نے سوال کے بدلے سوال مارا۔ سیدھا جواب دینا اسے آتا ہی نہیں تھا۔
“نہیں نہیں… ہمیں تو آپ جیسوں کی تعریف کرنے کا شوق ہے۔”

“ویسے، تم سچ میں اتنی خوبصورت ہو یا صرف مجھے لگتی ہو؟”
وہ اس کی پیشانی پر آتے بالوں کو انگلیوں کی پوروں سے پیچھے کرتا گیا،
اور ساتھ ہی اس کے ہاتھ سے کافی کا کپ تھام کر خود پینے لگا۔وہ اس کے عمل پر حیران سی بیٹھی تھی ۔
“تم نے مجھے ان بارہ سالوں میں بالکل یاد نہیں کیا؟
یا لندن میں کوئی اور مل گئی تھی؟”
ماہرہ نے شرارت سے پوچھا۔
وہ دھیرے سے مسکرایا:
