“تھک گئے ہو، نا؟”
وہ پاس آیا، ان کے ہاتھ چومے۔ ماں نے صرف اتنا کہا:
“سجدے میں سر رکھنے کے بعد دل کا بوجھ ہلکا ہو جاتا ہے… ضرورت ہو، تو کمرے سے پہلے اللہ کے در پر جا بیٹھنا۔”
اس نے کچھ نہ کہا، مگر دل نے پہلی بار تھوڑا سا نرم ہونا چاہا۔
دروازے کے قریب چھوٹی بہن، کتاب ہاتھ میں لیے کھڑی تھی۔
“بھائی، آپ تھک گئے؟”
اس کی آواز میں وہ شفافیت تھی جو اس گھر کے باقی کمروں میں نہیں تھی۔
وہ جھک کر مسکرایا، مگر آنکھوں میں اداسی چھپ گئی:
“نہیں… بس ذرا سا۔”
بہن نے ہلکا سا ہاتھ اس کے کندھے پر رکھا — جیسے کہہ رہی ہو:
“آپ کے اندر بہت سی کہانیاں ہیں، مگر آپ انہیں کسی کو بتاتے کیوں نہیں؟
دالان کے اس پار دادا نیم دراز تھے، ہاتھ میں چھڑی، لبوں پر آہستہ سی تسبیح۔
انہوں نے لڑکے کو دیکھا، صرف ایک جملہ کہا:
“جس دن اپنا دل خود سے چھپانے لگے نا، سمجھ لینا سچائی کمزور ہو رہی ہے۔”
