“لمحہ” مصنفہ حرا فاطمہ کا لکھا ہوا ایک انتہائی جذباتی، اصلاحی اور خاندانی ڈرامائی اردو ناول ہے۔ کہانی کا بنیادی محور یہ حقیقت ہے کہ انسان کی زندگی میں ایک ہی ایسا لمحہ آتا ہے جو اسے عرش سے فرش پر پٹخ سکتا ہے یا اس کی زندگی کا رخ ہمیشہ کے لیے بدل دیتا ہے۔ کہانی جہانگیر محل کی چار دیواری کے گرد گھومتی ہے، جہاں بظاہر تمام آسائشیں اور خاندان کی رونقیں موجود ہیں، لیکن اندرونی طور پر ایک گہری ویرانی اور ماضی کے تلخ راز دفن ہیں۔

پھر انہوں نے نہایت گہرے لہجے میں کہا،
“میری ایک بات ہمیشہ یاد رکھنا…”
رانیہ خاموشی سے انہیں سننے لگی۔
“اس دنیا میں کسی سے محبت ہو جانا کوئی بڑی بات نہیں۔ محبت ہو جانا بہت آسان ہے۔ کیونکہ اگر کسی سے نفرت ہو جائے تو اس سے محبت ہو جانا آسان ہو جاتا ہے لیکن کسی سے محبت ہو جائے تو اس سے نفرت کرنا بہت مشکل ہو جاتا ہے “
وہ چند لمحے رکیں۔
“محبت کرنا آسان ہے، مگر اس محبت کو نبھانا بہت مشکل ہے۔ محبت کرتے سبھی ہیں لیکن نبھاتے سب نہیں ہیں “
یہ کہتے ہوئے انہوں نے اپنی آنکھوں کے آنسو صاف کیے، جو جہانگیر مصطفیٰ کی تصویر پر گرنے کو بے قرار تھے۔
“کل سے یونیورسٹی میں اسپورٹس گالا شروع ہو رہا ہے نا، تو میرا وہاں کوئی کام نہیں۔ میں نے یونیورسٹی داخلہ پڑھائی کے لیے لیا ہے، کھیلوں کے لیے نہیں۔ سوچا گھر پر رہ کر اپنی پڑھائی مکمل کر لوں گی۔”
رانیہ چند لمحے خاموش رہی، پھر بولی،
“تو کیا اپنی دوست سے ملنے بھی نہیں آ سکتی؟”
سعدیہ ہلکا سا مسکرائی۔
“اچھی لڑکیاں اپنے گھروں میں ہی اچھی لگتی ہیں۔”
پھر ذرا رک کر بولی،
“اگر واقعی مجھے اپنی دوست مانتی ہو تو… مہمان بن کر میرے گھر آ جاؤ۔”
رانیہ کو اس کی بات اچھی لگی۔
“میں آ سکتی ہوں؟”
“کیوں نہیں؟”
“پھر ایڈریس بھیجو۔”
