یہ کہانی ہمارے معاشرے کے اس بھیانک چہرے کی عکاسی کرتی ہے جہاں انصاف محض ایک بکاؤ مال بن چکا ہے۔ ارسلان، ایک عام نوجوان جو بااثر طبقے کے ظلم کا شکار ہوتا ہے، خاموشی اختیار کرنے کے بجائے لڑنے کا فیصلہ کرتا ہے۔ مگر وہ اس حقیقت سے بے خبر تھا کہ وہ جس جنگل میں انصاف کا طلب گار ہے، وہاں قانون ظالم کی جیب میں اور منصف طاقتور کے قدموں میں ہوتا ہے۔
جب حقیقت کو ‘حادثے’ کا لبادہ پہنا کر سچ کو سڑک پر کچل دیا جائے، اور جب ایک باپ اپنے بیٹے کے خون کا سودا ‘جھوٹی معاشرتی غیرت’ کے نام پر کر لے، تو ضمیر مر جایا کرتے ہیں۔ یہ محض ایک قتل کی داستان نہیں، بلکہ اس معاشرتی رویے کا نوحہ ہے جو مظلوم کو جیتے جی رسوا کرتا ہے اور مرنے کے بعد بھی اس کے کردار پر انگلیاں اٹھاتا ہے۔

“کیا آپ جانتے ہیں کہ اس کی خودکشی کی وجہ وہ درندگی ہے جو اس کے ساتھ کی گئی ہے؟”
باپ کا رنگ فق ہو گیا۔ “کیسی درندگی؟”
“اس کے جسم کے نشانات بتا رہے ہیں کہ اس کے ساتھ ‘زیادتی’ ہوئی ہے۔ ایک مرد ہونے کے ناطے شاید وہ یہ بوجھ اٹھا نہیں سکا…” ڈاکٹر کی آواز دھیمی تھی، مگر باپ کے لیے ایٹم بم کی طرح پھٹی۔
“زیادتی؟ میرے بیٹے کے ساتھ؟ ڈاکٹر صاحب ہوش کریں! لوگ کیا کہیں گے؟ میرا بیٹا اتنا کمزور نہیں…”
یہ وہی جملہ تھا جس نے اسے پنکھے تک پہنچایا تھا۔ “لوگ کیا کہیں گے؟”
ہسپتال کے اس کمرے میں جب ارسلان کو ہوش آیا، تو اس کا باپ سامنے کھڑا تھا۔ ان کی آنکھوں میں شفقت نہیں، غصے کا زہر تھا۔ “کیوں کیا یہ سب؟ تم مرد تھے ارسلان! تم نے اس درندے کا گلا کیوں نہیں گھونٹ دیا؟ تم مر کیوں نہیں گئے اس سے پہلے کہ یہ ذلت ہمیں دیکھنی پڑی ؟”
ارسلان کی آنکھ سے ایک گرم آنسو پھسل کر کنپٹی میں جذب ہو گیا۔ یہ وہی پتھر کے آنسو تھا جو اب پگھل رہا تھا۔
“میں لڑا تھا ابو…” اس کی آواز کسی غار سے آتی محسوس ہوئی۔ “میں بہت لڑا تھا۔ میں چیخا تھا، مگر کسی نے نہیں سنا۔ میں بے بس تھا، میرا جسم سن تھا مگر ان درندوں کو مجھ پر ترس نہیں آیا۔ کیا میرا مرد ہونا مجھے انسان ہونے سے الگ کر دیتا ہے؟ کیا مجھے درد محسوس کرنے کا حق نہیں؟”
“چپ کر جاؤ!” باپ نے دھاڑ کر اسے خاموش کرا دیا۔ “اگر یہ بات باہر نکلی تو تمہاری بہنوں کی شادیاں نہیں ہوں گی۔ لوگ کہیں گے یہ کیسا مرد ہے جو اپنی ہی حفاظت نہیں کر سکا۔ ہم کسی کو منہ دکھانے کے قابل نہیں رہیں گے، اگر یہ بات باہر نکلی تو۔”
ارسلان نے تلخی سے ہنسنے کی کوشش کی، مگر حلق کے زخم نے تڑپا دیا۔ “آپ کو اپنی پگڑی کی فکر ہے، اور مجھے اس ناپاکی کی جو میرے جسم پر مل دی گئی ہے۔”
“آج کے بعد یہ بات اس کمرے سے باہر نہیں نکلنی چاہیے۔ تم بس یہ کہو گے کہ تم ذہنی دباؤ میں تھے۔” باپ نے رخ موڑتے ہوئے کہا۔
ارسلان نے آنکھیں بند کر لیں۔ اسے لگا کہ جس رسی نے اسے پنکھے سے لٹکایا تھا، اس کا دوسرا سرا اب بھی اس کے باپ کے ہاتھ میں ہے۔ معاشرے نے اسے ایک بار پھر خاموش رہنے کا حکم دے دیا تھا۔
