دلوں کے ٹوٹنے کی، اور ٹوٹ کر پھر سے جڑنے کی، لیکن دلوں کے ٹوٹ کر جڑنے کے بعد محبت ویسی نہیں رہتی جیسی پہلے ہوتی ہے۔ پھر جو محبت ہوتی ہے وہ محض ایک دیکھاوا ہوتا ہے اس محبت کا کوئی نام نہیں ہوتا وہ پھر ہوتی ہے بے نام سی محبت!”

اس پل یہ الفاظ مقابل کے کان میں سائیں سائیں کر رہے تھے جیسے وہ بے یقین ہو۔ اسے لگا تھا جیسے یہ سب اس سے کہا ہی نہیں گیا۔ لیکن کبھی کبھی بےیقین باتوں پر بھی یقین کرنا پڑتا ہے وہ الفاظ اسی کے لیے ہی تو ادا کیے گیے تھے اور یہاں سے اسے ہی نکلنے کو کہا جا رہا تھا۔ اس کا دماغ ماؤف ہو چکا ہے ذہن کچھ بھی سمجھنے سے قاصر تھا۔ وہ جو بھی تھا وہاں سے جا رہا تھا۔ اس نے کبھی نہیں سوچا تھا کہ اسے یوں سب کے سامنے ذلیل کیا جائے گا۔ اس سے محبت کا دعوا کرنے والے اس سے یوں پیش آئیں گے۔
“کیا سوچ رہے ہو فارس حسین؟” وہ نہر کنارے کھڑا سینے پر بازو لپیٹے جیسے کسی گہری سوچ میں گم دیکھائی دیتا تھا جب میر حسین نے آتے اس کی گردن کے گرد بازو حمائل کرتے پوچھا تھا۔
“خوبصورتی میں میر حسین بھی اپنی مثال آپ تھا۔”
اپنی گرے آنکھوں میں گہری چمک لیے، تیکھے نقوش اور اپنی اماں جیسی معصومیت اور سنجیدگی چہرے پر لیے وہ ہمیشہ ہشاش بشاش دیکھائی دیتا تھا۔ وہ گہرے بھورے رنگ کے قمیض شلوار کے ساتھ ہاف وائٹ کلر کی شال لیے ہوئے تھا۔ یہ شال لینے کا شوق انہیں اپنے ابا کو دیکھ کر ہی ہوا تھا۔ لیکن ان دونوں کے علاوہ ان کے باقی بھائیوں کو ایسا کوئی شوق نہیں تھا۔
“ابا کی باتوں کا اثر زائل کرنے کی کوشش!” نظریں نہر کے بہتے پانی پر مرکوز کیے وہ بولا تو اس کے چہرے کے ساتھ ساتھ اس کی آواز میں بھی وہی سنجیدگی رقم تھی۔
“کم آن فارس ابا نے ایسا بھی کچھ نہیں کہا تمہیں۔ ان فیکٹ جیسی ہم نے توقع کی تھی ویسا تو کچھ ہوا ہی نہیں۔ اور تمہیں تو خوش ہونا چاہیے جو کچھ تم نے بچپن سے سوچا تھا تمہارا وہ خواب بلآخر مکمل ہونے والا ہے۔” میر نے اسے خوش کرنا چاہا تھا۔
“خواب تو یہ آپ کا بھی تھا لالہ!” اب کی بار وہ اپنے لالہ کی آنکھوں میں آنکھیں ڈالے بولا تھا اور میر اس کی بات سنتے نظریں چرا گیا تھا۔
“میں ایسا نہیں کر۔۔۔۔”
“کیوں لالہ؟ کیا آپ کا حق نہیں ہے کہ آپ اپنے خوابوں کی تکمیل کریں۔” اس سے پہلے کہ میر کی بات مکمل ہوتی وہ درشتی سے ان کی بات کاٹتے بولا تھا۔
